"I can hardly see the grid when sighting in open sights. It needs a bigger sighting picture. If its made for only scopes it should be indicated."

"I purchased this boresighter from the Glendale, AZ store. However, when I brought the sighter home and attempted to use it to sight in two AR 15's with scopes, it could not be done. I have the scopes mounted on extra high rings, and there was no way I could get the sighter to line up properly to use it. I am sure that it will work on lower mounted scopes on other rifles. I had to return it."

"Mounted a new scope and use the boresighter to get me on paper. I found it was 24" high and 8" to right. Not very close on the paper. Used on rifle already sighted in and said i was off very bad."

"Mine doesn't work at all. Every shot, every gun, low and far, far to the right. The gun must have a scope with medium rings to work at all. The height cannot be adjusted to scope."

"Purchased this item several years ago but unfortunatley lost it during a hunt expediton. So I replaced it with a Cabela's boresight and could not be happier. The versitility and user friendly mechanicl boresight is more then I need. No need for special gun holders, or paper sights and for that matter, laser assories. It's easy to use, accurate and can travel with you anywhere. Just don't lose it."

"I mainly purchased the Boresighter package for my 30-06, but the other sighting rods are a super addition. This boresighter was utilized during the past Deer season and I'll be transporting to next years Elk camp......very good and useful product."

"After setting up with bore sighter and calling customer service on instuctions not covered in paper work sent with kit I adjusted my scope. Went to range and found I was not on paper of a 4 by 8 sheet of cardboard at 25 yards.
took my gun to a gun smith and found out I used the kit correctly,but my kit set the scope very low and to the left.
gunsmith reset my scope and I was with in two inches of center at the range. I will be sending my kit back."

"I have had this boresighter for quite a while. The only problem that I have noticed is that when you line the cross hair's up with the boresighter's cross hairs it is not even close. After boresighting a lot of scope's for me and for friends I have found out that I set the cross hair's windage dead on and the elevation at 4 inches high. Elevation wise I am usually dead on at 100 yards and the windage is 3 to 5 inches off to the left or right. I am giving it 4 stars because of that and it doesn't have a 50 cal. arbor for black powder rifles."

"It got me on the paper. The package has adaptors for all calibers that I needed, such as the latest .204 that I was mounting a scope on. I sighted in all my rifles with this boresighter to get on the paper, then finished sighting them in with less than 10 rounds. Once done, I checked them again and made reference to each rifle so now I have a quick check to see that the scope didn't get bumped enroute to the hunt."

"Don't understand how this boresighter can be so far off. I set my scope crosshairs to match the crosshairs in the boresighter. At the range I was barely on paper at 50yds - UNSAT. After dialing in my scope to be punching the bullseye at 100yds, I remounted the boresighter to check the reading again. It said my scope crosshairs were 6 high and 4 right. I tried this on three different rifles and had the same results. All rifles and scopes are top quality. I would recommend sticking to laser boresighters, I have found them to be much more accurate."

"this product works very well but it should have a 50cal. arbor with it the arbors only go to 45 cal, and 50cal. is the most common when it cqomes to muzzle loaders that is the only reason I did not give it five stars"

"purchased the boresighter to sight in a HK g3 with scope mounted on top. The boresighter isn't tall enough to work with that rifle. I have a savage model 110 that it works on but i have already sighted it in and the scope says that scope isn't right even though i can hit a golfball with it at 100 yards. I'm getting ready to scope a mauser 98k and i'll see it works on that one perhaps. Wish i would have gotten the laser boresighter."

"I bought this boresighter to use on my Gammo air rifle. It was just about the only one available that would sight a .177 bore so I bought it with that in mind. The mounting post fit the barrel but not tight enough so I have to constantly adjust the level of the sight lens because it slips because of the effects of gravity. Other than that it works as advertised on this guage bore. I will try it on other bores in the future and hope it performs better. I'll have to improvise maybe with some double stick tape on the end of the barrel to keep things from moving around.
It's too bad someone doesn't make a barrel end laser boresighter. That would be ideal."
