Works great for turkeys but not with all brands.,March 15, 2010

"I have patterned several choke tubes with my Benelli SBE2. This one patterend the best with a Super Full choke. The best patterns came using the Winchester Xtended Range Hi Density turkey loads. I am getting great results at the two ranges I tested. (25 & 40 yards). However, it did not work well with other Hi Density loads. It also worked well with the Federal Mag Shok turkey loads but not with other Lead turkey loads. You really need to test multiple brands and loads to find what performs best. The price is reasonable on this choke. I was going to purchase a much higher priced choke if this didn't work. Glad I did not have to!"

"I bought this thinking that maybe its was finally a way to get Hevi-Shot loads to pattern reasonable. I was wrong, the stuff doesn't like me!! I realize some people have excellent results but not me. The choke does however pattern normal copper plated loads extremely well so I gave it 4 stars."

"I installed this choke tube in Improved Cylinder on a Remington 870 Express Synthetic in 20 gauge on a 26-inch vent rib barrel. I compared it's performance on a trap field at 16 yards to the standard Remington Modified flush choke tube. There really is no comparison. While shooting white clay targets on a rainy day the break percentage was almost double for the Cabela's tube versus the Remington tube. I probably won't use any other tube on this barrel. I purchased it for occasional clay targets and pheasant hunting. For this purpose I would strongly recommend you consider this tube for your shotgun."

"i used 4s,5s,&6s in heavy shot 5s held better pattern at 40 yds it put 30 pellets in a 3 inch circle i used cabelas .680 choke tube with 3 inch mag#5 shot remington 870 sps ive got choke tubes from .640-.700 the .680 best for heavy shot.to make a long story short i killed turkey at 63 steps end of story."

"good choke, i got it for the looks really. haven't tested it at the range against the benelli factory chokes, but i have been shooting well with it. but like i said i got it for the looks, if you cant shoot, you cant shoot. brought it to shoot skeet with my friend, i hit everything, he hit nothing. point being, learn to shoot, this choke(or any other choke) WILL NOT, make or break your hunt."

"My choke tube was delivered the day before my next goose hunt. Talk about timing. Unfortunately, it did not fit my Beretta Extrema. The discription on line failed to mention that the tube did not fit all Berattas. So I paid shipping coming and going, just to try in a choke tube and was only refunded the cost of the tube. Good for UPS not so good for me... This could easily have been avoided. I'm a little unhappy."

Coyote choke tube too,January 18, 2010

"I take a rifle and a shotgun with me to hunt coyotes. I bought the Super Full for my 870 Express and the first time out with this choke in the gun I killed a coyote at 65 yards, DEAD!! It didn't kick, flip its tail, or spin around, just fell DEAD. I was using Hevi-Shot, Dead Coyote, Size T shot. The choke tube combined with these loads is perfect for these critters. Can't beat the price for such a great product."

"I purchased three of of these chokes in IC, MOD, and Full a couple of years ago and right away I noticed a big gain from the stock chokes that my gun came with. I am able to shoot a 100% pattern (100% of the pellets hitting within a 35" plate) a good ten yards beyond what my previous chokes could hold. It's nice having a full choke that is capable of shooting both steel and heavy shot through as well. Being from Washington State we are only able to hunt with steel. So now having the edition of a full choke in the tool bag is comforting. Because these chokes extend beyond the muzzle I no longer have to dig through my bag to find a choke wrench. A great after market choke for those not wanting to break the bank."

"The Cabela's line of gear again lives up to its reputation of quality, durability and bang for the buck. I'm very pleased with this Turkey Super Full choke tube by Cabelas. I wanted a choke that would pattern tighter than my Full with #6 and #4 lead for dove. Now, missed shots at +45 yards with Full are bagging tasty doves with my new Cabelas Turkey Super Full. The gnurled end of the tube give me plenty of purchase to hand tighten without a wrench which is really handy when I want to swap out for my rifled choke tube. Great choke tube for the money, I recommend to all my friends!"

even me, a first time hunter got bird with this!,November 19, 2009

"yesterday i got my papers, my gun and my shells and took my gear out duck hunting. first time ever as i dont have any mentors. a flock flew over my whole 6 decoys and i shot my 20 ga with a cabelas hevi shot modified choke for the first time at a living bird. that quacker took a hit on his left side and came down in the water so i went in and got him myself. i dont have a dog and my guineapig hates water.
this choke shoots good patterms and is perfect for my 20 ga mossberg 500c. i know my gun isnt the best and its cheap but i took 2 birds yesterday trying to teach myself to hunt ducks so i can only attest it to this wonderful choke by cabelas.
i hsot about half a box of shells and took 2 birds my first day out all alone with my 6 decoys and a duck call + my trusty mossberg 20. i know it wasnt my "skills" and it was not "experience" and probably not the high quality cheap gun so i can only blame the choke i bought a week earlier here.

Mod for Invector Plus Browning Gold,October 7, 2009

"Looks like very nicely build choke (if not a Cabela's sign- could not say apart from Carlson chokes) with good pattern out of my Browning Gold hunter :KENT FAST steel and Remington Nitro-Steel. Sign on the choke ia a little misleading: it says MOD for Hevi-Shot, Steel Shot, etc.... The patten board showed that it shoots as FULL for Kent Steel Shot and Remington Steel -nod MOD. I will buy IMP CYL next time to shoot MOD in steel. Looks like it patterned KENT BB better then Black Cloud... but it might be my gun only."
