Good wild turkey load.,

"Patterned the 3" number 5 loads using my 870 supermag sure shot and Primos 660 tightwad and Jelleyhead 665. Very nice patterns out to 40 yards. Remember...a hunters goal is a quick, clean kill. Not how far he/she can shoot."

Below Average Ammo,
June 2, 2009
By Trapshooter1028
from Milford, NH
|
"I was very un-impressed with this ammo. I patterned these shells on standard paper turkey targets at different ranges using a super full turkey choke. The patterns fell apart at 45 yards. The shells from other manufacturers that I used that day outpreformed these loads easily. I don't intend to shoot turkeys at long ranges, but I do want to have confidence with the ammo that I carry."

Poor quality,
April 21, 2009
By trkyblstr
from WV
|
"I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the shells. I turkey hunt with a mossberg 935. When i shot the shells the shells would actually seperate, the brass part of the shell would pull away from the plastic hull which would make the shells to long and would not eject. The only reason the product got one star is because of the price. Would not recommend for any using semi-auto's."

terrible product if using 12ga Mossberg 935 Mag,
April 19, 2009
By dlat1
from stanley, ks
|
"bought #6 3.5in 12ga shells for my brand new mossberg 935 mag. went to pattern the gun, since I hadn't shot it before. the 1st shell separated the brass from the plastic shell casing & when the autoloader tried to load the next shell it jammed the separated plasitc casing into the barrel. had to take the brand new gun apart to extract the casing from the barrel. loaded another one & had a repeat performance. borrowed some Winchester #5 3.5in shells & they worked perfectly. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A MOSSBERG 935 MAG. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED."

40 yard pattern is excellent,
February 8, 2009
By AWedel
from Baldwin City, KS
|
"Patterned these the other day using a 3.5 inch shell loaded with #6 shot. Fired from my Mossberg 835 using the factory Ulti-Mag Turkey Choke (.670") and got a very respectible 199 pellets in an 18" by 18" square. The pattern wasn't quite as uniform as I would have liked, however the price of these loads can't be beat. Pellet count and uniformity would have knocked my rating down to a 4, but for the price for a box it takes it back to a 5. Being perhaps the cheapest box out there and getting this kind of performance is fantastic!"

"A turkey does not have a chance within 60 yards with the 3 1/2" # 6's when combined with a Benelli SBE II and a Gobbling Thunder Choke. I have shot several turkeys in the 40 to 60 yard range and they have not flopped once. This is the only load I will shoot."

Fiocchi Turkey Thunder Turkey Loads,
May 8, 2008
By WinSupreme
from Western Indiana
|
"I have tried many, many shells in my Benelli SBE to get the best pattern for turkey. The Fiocchi looked good, at a good price. With a massive 2 3/8oz load I figured I would give them a try. They shot well, however, they had nowhere near the pattern density I had achieved with the Winchester shot. They are a good shell for the price, but there are better shells out there."

Economical, powerful turkey loads,
April 22, 2008
By BrowninGGuy
from Minnesota
|
"These loads pattern ok through my invector plus x-full turkey choke tube out of a Browning Gold. I tried the 3 1/2" in #5's and #6's, the 6's patterned better. They are a very heavy load, with 2 3/8 oz of shot so as you would imagine, they kick like a mule, but deliver a lot of shot and energy down field. These are a reasonably priced alternative to the more expensive turkey loads. Less effective outside 35 yards."

Gobbler's Beware!,
February 27, 2008
By Gobbler74
from Near the Roost tree VA!
|
"Shells shoot very well. Depending on the gun and choke combination which is always a factor. Patterns hold together and deliver good pellet counts at 40 yds. More important is the consistent patterns between 20 and 40yds This product is worth more than the price and would recommend it to a friend. This is G74 and I endorse this message! ;)"

Incredible pattern,
October 15, 2007
By capsman36
from California
|
"I hunted turkeys for the first time this past '07 Spring season. I didn't find any gobblers on the public land I hunted, but had I, this load would have been devastating on them. I purchased three different brands including the Fiocchi Turkey Thunder 3" 1 3/4 oz of #5 shot. In my 870 Supermag 26" barrel, using a Primos Tightwad .660 choke, the pattern was excellent. I printed some turkey patterning targets online. There were 97 of the #5's in the six inch circle at 45 yards. I was impressed with that. Considering the other brands of turkey shells I bought are up to $15 more per 10 shells, these cannot be beat in my gun. The patterns were similar with all three loads, 90+ pellets in the 6" circle. I also tried Remington Premeir Magnums and Hevi Shot. For the price, the Turkey Thunder are hands down the winner for me. I hope to take my first turkey in a couple of weeks when the Fall season opens here in California. Haven't killed one yet, but am already totally addicted!!"

"After looking at various turkey loads from all the manufactures, the Fiocci Turkey Thunders looked like a load I could'nt pass up. I am glad I did'nt. At eight dollars for ten shots at 2 3/8 oz of plated shot running at 1200 feet plus, you almost have to give them a try. Turkeys are DOA with these loads. I bought three boxes in case they change the load or discontinue them. As with any load chokes will decide what your pattern is. What works for one does'nt always work for another. Chambered fine in a Benelli Nova with no hiccups."

"These fiocchi push a bunch of shot at the target and the patterning boards shows it. I shot a turkey with one and he just tipped over no flop there boys.Thats what happens when you shoot a good load and call them in close. Everyone else can have there expensive loads. I'm packin fiocchi's from now on."
