"I installed this in my 77/17 last night. If it weren't for the filing of the trigger to allow the safety to work, this would take about 10 minutes to install. Since I didn't want to screw it up, I filed very small amounts until it was just right, and the job took closer to an hour, but it really was very easy, it just takes a lot of careful filing, and trying it often to make sure you stop when it's just right. I had the benefit of disassembly instructions for my 77/17, which made it very clear. Too bad pictures are not included in Timney's instructions. The end result is a nice light trigger, with still a bit of creep but I think it'll smooth up after a bit of use. I'm totally satisfied. WAY better than the horrible factory trigger. Now to do my 10/22...."

"Replaced sear and spring on Ruger 77/17 HMR with this kit. It came with instructions but there were no photos. It really was not very difficult to follow even without any photos. For my gun it took quite a bit of filing to get the safety to engage. Because you frequently have to check to see if you've filed enough by reinstalling the trigger it did take a while, maybe 45 minutes to get the filing done. I didn't measure the trigger before but afterwards I hung lead weights on the trigger until it fired and is like 3.5-4 lbs. Better than before but not the 2.5 lbs it says on the package. If you need way lite trigger pull, then you better replace with an adjustable trigger and not just a new spring/sear."

"INSTANT RELIEF! This conversion took literally 3 minutes to install. The filing took a little longer, but it was easily accomplished with a small flat file. My 77/22's trigger was so tight I could lift it off of the ground with the trigger before it would snap. Now I have a crisp 2 1/2 pound pull. I can't believe the difference."
