Nice holster, February 25, 2010
By SinisterRSW from Iowa

"Wet formed and boned it. It looks great with the cartridge belt. My revolver has a 10 1/2 barrel, so it sticks out the end, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Outstanding value."

real good holster., January 29, 2010
By onehosswagon1940 from fort worth, texas

"sense i aint no quickdraw shootist (i use a 12ga for keepin the wolves off me) this holster is just fine. be careful tho---if you pick up the whole kit and kaboodle be sure to hold your colt good and tight or it will fall uponst the floor and discharge in a most fearful manner and if the bullet happenst to hit the towns only barkeep they will turn uponst you and ye shall regret it most heartely. the scalloping is nicely done and covers the front edge of the pocket. there is edging all around the holster and the belt i might add. so for the holster and belt it looks real good on and with a little tweaking adds a real nice look on a person."

Quality Product, January 11, 2010
By yhscoach from OK

"This is a well made product for the money. I am sure there are higher quality products out there (this is why I am not giving it 5 stars) but this product is just as its described. It is also a plus for me to buy a product made in my home state."

Getting one to fit., December 23, 2009
By BigDenfmMS from Meridian, MS

"I got my Oaklahoma Double loop just a couple of days before Christimas and couldn't be moor happier. I first got the one that was suppose to be for my 5 1/2 barrel, but it was way to big. I talked to the kind people at Cabela, and fixed me up in record time and sent me the next one that I orderd to place the long one, I ordered the 5 3/4 and that one fit like a glove with room to spare. The people at Cabela were great aind look forward to ordering form them again. I know I am to have to add the hammer guard with some strip leater, but that is now big deal, A Merry Christmas to the people at Cabelas and to the rest of you in the Cowbay Action world."

OkieHunter, December 15, 2009
By sailkeystone from Central Oklahoma

"This is a practical, well-made holster that fits my revolver snugly. My only concern would be how it will treat the bluing on the gun. The full grain leather is not smooth on the inside against the gun but then I am not a gunslinger, only a hunter."

double holster, October 7, 2009
By boatsandguns

"Bought this to fit my 1851 black powder pistol. soaked it in hot water for about a minute , placed pistol in plastic bag then into holster and let dry overnight. Formed to perfect fit. The leather is slightly thin but heavy enough to last a long time. Not for quick draw but great to carry to the range or hunting. Made nice and the border stamping is good. After pricing other holsters , this is a good value."

I'm picky, June 16, 2009
By Gun665 from Prescott, AZ

"There were minor things about this holster that I just couldn't live with. It was stated to be for a 4 5/8 inch barrel. The holster was 2 inches longer than the barrel of my pistol, which caused a "flapping" effect, rather like wearing shoes that are too big for you.

The quality of the holster was very nice. Great leather, great stitching, but I just couldn't get past the length issue.

I would recommend it but give a warning about the length variances.

Excellent buy, January 25, 2009
By badbobDL from minnesota

"This is a good quality holster and remarkably authentic. Price is good too. You may want to form it to your six gun, which is no big deal. I purchased the cross draw also and it is the same. If you want to look like a real cowboy fron the late 1800s this is the one."

Good purchase, January 5, 2009
By Cybernetsurfer

"This is an excellent item to buy. However, it only gets 4 stars because the holster tends to not let go of the gun and it comes up when you try to draw. This is only a temporary thing as more use softens the leather and the gun can slip easily in and out."

Double Loop Holster, December 21, 2008
By tennrebel from Tennessee

"I had bought this some time ago along with a crossdraw holster and belt. Hadn't really played with it much. However since it's cold as blue blazes down here in Tennessee today, I decided I put my "guns" on and give it a try. The holster wanted to pull up in the loops when drawing my gun but it was a simple fix..Punch a small hole and tie it down on the bottom with wax thread. Didn't have a lash down loop, but there again..a simple hole punch and a bit of leather lace fixed it right up. A nice set of holsters and belt for the money."

oklahoma belt and holster, December 1, 2008
By frito1 from Tennessee

"I bought the oklahoma belt and double loop holster for a cimmaron mod p stainless in 357/38 cal. After I got the right size belt, a medium will not go around a 36 in waist as I was told, I was very well pleased for the money. The holster fit the pistol very well and the belt, a large, fits very well. The holster leather is a little thin, but is of good quality, and is soft and will be easy on the pistol. All in all, I am very satisfied for the money spent. It is a very good looking rig."

Good bit of leather, July 23, 2008
By busboy999 from Ft. Benning, GA

"After several weeks of research trying to find a suitable holster for a Uberti reproduction of a S&W #3 Schofield revolver with 7" barrel, I stumbled across this gem.
I had been preparing to shell out close to $200 to one of the "cowboy action shooting" leatherworkers with an internet storefront. As beautiful as some of that leatherwork is, its not what I wanted.
I wanted a simple brown leather holster that could hold a 7" Schofield and not break the bank. This product fits the bill. It holds a Schofield perfectly (i.e. securelt), the workmanship is excellent, and the leather quality is just fine. (Some, like me, might like to saddle soap the leather for a bit more supple feel, but again the leather quality is excellent.)
Lastly...its a downright handsome piece of gunleather on top of it. You can't go wrong with this holster.

A great Cheyenna Holster for the price, May 28, 2008
By Mordecai from Los Angeles

"I bought several of these about four years ago in all three barrel lengths. Kept the ones for 4 3/4" and 5 1/2". The 5 1/2" inch is really long enough for a 7 1/2" barrel, leaving only 1/2" of barrel sticking out of the bottom. Similarly, the 4 3/4" model holds a 5 1/2" barrel with room to spare. The holster designed for 7 1/2" barrel lengths is way too long and looks ungainly. (Of course, it could be cut down.)

Coincidentally, these holsters, as well as they do fit Colts and Colt clones, also fit Smith and Wesson Schofield and American models nicely. (Of course, with an 8" S&W barrel, you might want to get the longest holster.)

My initial impression (with the ones from fours years back)was that the leather looked cheap and stiff, but I slathered them in leather conditioner and let them sit overnight. By morning, the color had beautifully deepened and the leather had softened and looked terrific! I could not have been more pleased.

I did the same leather treatment on the gun belt, and it turned out just as well. These have turned out to be great rigs, and I can't recommend them enough. Of all the old west styles, I think the Cheyenne model is the most beautiful, and these ones from Oklahoma Leather are a means to get a terrific rig for a low price.
