"First year with black powder was 06, found that pellets are very easy to use but ran into several problems. I had a few small problems at the range I think one misfire and after 2-3 shots several hangfires. Come november two misfires and a hangfire that resulted in a wounded buck!!! For 07 I switched to Jim Shockeys gold powder. Two shots two dead deer."

Triple Seven,
May 18, 2008
By veemax150from Metairie, LA
"After shooting the 777 & Pyrodex, I notice a difference in the leftovers in the barrel. Needless to say, I don't shoot Pyrodex anymore. I didn't find a difference in accuracy between the two when shots were taken after the barrel was cleaned. I find I can shoot more shots before barrel cleaning with the 777 than the Pyrodex due to the leftovers. I really don't think it's a big deal between the two because usually you only get one shot when you are out hunting."

TRIPLE SEVEN PELLETS,
January 26, 2008
By TRIUMPHSHOOTERfrom SILVER RUN, MD.
"POWERFUL AND ACCURATE EASY TO USE, CLEAN UP IS SIMPLE. I HAVE BEEN SHOOTING MUZZLE LOADERS FOR THIRTY YEARS AND THESE PELLETS LEAVE MORE FOULING THEN BLACK POWDER AND PYRODEX. HAD TO SWAB BARREL AFTER EVERY SHOT OR BULLET WOULD NOT SEAT IN MY T/C TRIUMPH."

Triple 7 Pellets/Powder...,
December 16, 2007
By NDTerminatiorfrom Devils Lake ND
"I recently retired my LH Cabelas Hawkens and with it, Pyrodex. I got a new T/C Triumph and tried Triple 7 pellets. It was hard to believe this propellent was as good as I had heard.
Well, believe it. Triple 7 is unreal. It doesn't stink, doesn't create excessive smoke, doesn't foul near as much as Pyrodex, and yes, it does clean up with plain water. I've found that it actually cleans up better with plain warm water dampened patches than with pre-treated solvent patches.
A few water dampened patches followed by some dry patches, a patch with alcohol, then a patch with Bore Butter, and you're done.
5 minutes tops and no more need for pricey solvents or pre-treated patches. No more boiling water. No more vile smelling Pyrodex mess. I told friends I'm going to have to make a mixture of boiling water, rotten eggs, and charcoal dust to spill on myself during cleaning so I know I'm working with a muzzle loader.
The only downside is the price of the pellets. I'll most likely switch to Triple 7 3F powder once I'm out of pellets as it's more economical and will allow me to fine tune my load.
Triple 7 combined with saboted bullets and my new highly accurate, easy to maintain T/C Triumph, and muzzle loading has become a whole new ball game!..."

Accurate.....with only a clean gun,
December 3, 2007
By Rauscherfrom Milan, Mi
"I was recently sighting in my scope and the first shots (2-3) at 50yds would be right there, nice grouping. Then I went to a 100yd target and I wouldn't even be on paper, atleast 6in low. Like other comments, there was a heavy "crud" ring and the bullet would not seat properly, after only 3-4 shots. I know you should clean your gun while sighting in, but this was a little excessive I think. But out of a clean gun I was very accurate. Just something to keep in mind about this product.."

pyrodex are better,
November 12, 2007
By stuart1017
"I have used this powder to sight in all 3 of my guns. this powder after 4 shots leaves a ring at the bottom of the baarrel that stops the bullet from being seated on the breech.I called t/c and they agreed with me about the ring and that pyrodex are better (a little bit dirtier but easier to seat the bullet)."

Muzzle Loader Powder " or not "?,
August 2, 2007
By weld387from Hogansville, GA
"I just have started muzzle loading shooting. Picked up this 777 along with a box of Winchester 209 primers. The stuff works great. Two pellets = 100 grains and a 250 Sabot round out of my TC Omega Z5 are deadly accurate at the hundred yard mark. Just looking forward to Dear hunting this year. First time with a 'Smoke Pole'. Pellets do make things much more simple, cleaner burning. The only reason for the 4 star rating is I know if I were too weight out loose 777 powder, my TC Omega Z5 would be shooting single whole groups. These pellets are more for speed and safety on quick follow up shot chances. "Good luck with your hunt folks.""
