"I purchased the dog containment systym and then realized I needed a extra collar for a dog that started to dig right after the other dog stopped digging. I have a very large back yard and placed the containment wire about 1' above the ground level. Neither dog will go close to the fence. I would highly recommend this systym."

"The electronic sensor on the original collar that came with the containment system failed after 2 years. This collar I just purchased replaced it. I feel I got my money's worth from the first collar and have no reason to believe this one will be different. Surviving two years of rain, snow and abuse from an 80 lb Lab is pretty good in my book."

"Once my labs were trained it worked well, though one dog is a bit stubborn and would occasionally run thru the field even though he was getting a correction. However, they do play very rough with each other and I lost both collars in the deep snow. I will probably find them in the spring, but will be ordering new collars. So make sure the electrode/contacts stay tight - otherwise the receiver will fall off of the collar and Murphy's Law says it will be when the snow is deep. As for the second receiver we lost, make sure the nylon strap stays tight on the buckle, I had to readjust several times to tighten it up before my dog eventually lost it outside."

"These containment systems are awesome, I would recommend them to anyone anywhere that needs to keep their pet in their yard without putting up an expensive fence. Our dogs can play all day long and never leave the yard even when other dogs or kids are right on the property line. Due to the containment field, they won't even go with several feet of the property line. It was a bit of work to lay all 800' of line, but worth it all in the end. I have had to replace one collar so far, but then my dogs play pretty rough, so they probably did that one in."

"I have a very large yard and a part of it is in brush. The wire does not hold up really well in the more difficult terrain and I've had to repair it twice this year. It is almost impossible to bury out there. But, the system works well. My dogs are trained and stay in the yard now. They are Brittany Spaniels and love to run. They need a more heavy duty wire and it will be perfect."

"I bought the Gun Dog Containment system in 2002 when I had one dog. I got a second dog in 2004 and both of them are trained on the system. We've had the system for just over 4.5 years and I appreciate the fact that Cabela's has made it easy to order extra collars as needed. Battery replacement is easy. The collars have kept both dogs in my yard and safe. Collars are lightweight, easy to remove and easy to clean. The Gun Dog System is reasonably priced and easy to install. I would highly recommend this system."

"We've used the hunting dog containment system and extra collars with two dogs and it works great. It's very easy to train them where they can and can't go without getting shocked. Its amazing how fast they learn. Our dogs do not leave the yard even if there is a cat or we cross the line. Just remember to check the batteries every couple months."
