Best Hunting Pants,February 10, 2010
By preacher14from Charleston, WV
"These pants are by far the best pair of hunting pants that I have ever owned. When I think about Cabelas, quality immediately comes to mind and these pants live up to that quality. The pants are extremely comfortable and very warm. I have also worn them in the rain and they are completely water proof. You will not be disappointed with these pants."

"I've got a parka I've got bibs,I've got pants, gloves and handwarmer muffs. I live in Québec and I'm hunting bear, moose, whitetail, caribou, goose and duck from september to january. MT050 is the stuff you need. That's all!"

"The warmest and most comfortable pants i have had. The only thing that i would have agains them is that it could use a couple more pockets. Other than that they're perfect."
MT050 Insulated Pants,December 5, 2009

"My wife purchsed Cabelas MT050 Whitetail Extreme insulated pants for me after I destroyed my older ski pants on a previous ski trip. I hunt much more often than I ski, and decided I needed pants that pulled double-duty. The MT050 pants not only are completely waterproof and exceptionally warm, but are also very quiet and proved to be tough enough to take multiple wipe-outs on black diamond slopes (my wife is a better skiier than I am). I cannot say enough about how good these pants are for warmth, comfort, and durability. The best strory I have is that my wife and I were skiing in Angel Fire, NM two years ago when the temperature was -15. When the lift opened there were less than 10 on the mountain, including us. I am extremely hot-natured, but thought I had made a big mistake by wearing only flannel pajama bottoms and the MT050 pants only. I cannot wear thermals while skiing - I will sweat. I was able to ski all day in complete comfort. I use them for hunting on days when the morning temp is less than 25, and I have never had a garment that can keep you so toasty warm with so little weight. Great product! Best cold-weather clothing I have ever had and recently bought the parka to go with the pants."
MT050 Gortex Whitetail extreme,April 21, 2009

"Absolutely light weight, comfortable with extreme freedom of movement, warm and dry. All without a lot of bulk. By far the best product I have ever used. Well worth the money if you plan to be in the woods regardless of the weather. The weather tends to change quickly here in WV during deer season often wet and hovering around the freezing mark. Sometimes in the teens in the morning warming quickly in the afternoon. This clothing compresses extremely well to go in my pack for the warmer times. With this clothing I feel well prepared."
works great!!!!!!!,December 15, 2008

"Got tired of my insulated overalls cause they are getting tight. So, I bought the seperate pants and jacket. More flexibility with seperate pieces. Supper warm while sittling in the tree and the gortex keeps out the cold wind. Great for real cold climates and late season hunts. No need to wear thermals underneath. I just slip them over my pants. Have not worn them in the rain but took the garden hose and wet them down a good bit and did not feel any wet inside. Gortex is expensive but worth it. I can now double my time in the field hunting."

"Great pair of pants. Very comfortable and quiet enough to spot & stalk. Wore for the first time and with wind and sleet in cold weather, I was dry and warm WITHOUT a baselayer. Planning a cold weather hunt in Feb and have the confidence I will be fine. Ordered the jacket when I got home."

"Just recently got back from elk hunt in WYO and weather was in lo 20's in am and warmed up to 30's by pm. Great for sitting and riding ATV's in the cold climate. Would not recommend if have to do any extensive walking as you will build up a sweat. Excellent product for still hunting!"
"Just like the parka. Another winner with one hole back as to the lenght being offered only in 32'. If you have a 30" insean you will find yourself stepping or tripping on the cuff. One size does not fit all"
"I live in Canada and used these pants for the entire 2007 hunting season. These pants are extemely warm, quiet, and comfortable, but I only gave them 4 stars because they would be better if they had a zip-out insulation liner because I found them to be too hot and they made me sweat a lot while walking.
"I purchased this pair of pants to go elk hunting in Oregon. As it turned out, I didn’t were them. (Did not get cold enough or wet enough) I however wore them on a bass fishing trip in December in far northern California. I can say I stood on a bass boat all day long with the wicked combination of ½ rain ½ snow with about a 15 mph north wind and did not get cold or wet! Needless to say I am very impressed with these pants, as far as I am concerned these pants paid for themselves in one fishing trip."
