"I purchase the emergency blankets and hand warmers for my dad who is on kidney dialysis. He gets very cold while he is on the machines, and this is the only thing that works for him and keeps him warm till he is finished usually a four hour procedure. Also there are not stores that carry these except cabelas in summer of course yous carry them all year long. He has other patients asking for them as well. The nurses are recommmending them to the other patients."

"Don't plan on using these for daily use. They are as advertised and not suited for any extended use. They do work well when needed."

Must Have,September 14, 2007
By Hoffrockfrom Kirkland, Washington
"I just recently purchased a new one as I heard they get brittle over time so they need to be replaced every 4 or 5 years (they may last longer but why chance it). I have been carrying one for 15 years in the field hunting and thankfully have not had to use it. However, a friend of mine got stuck in the woods overnight and wished he had one!"

"This is a no brainer. Its small, light, inexpensive and it can save your life or that of a friend. I carry one in my hunting pack and my ski pack along with a couple of long lasting candles. Don't think it only happens to other guys...."
