Great multi use product!,
June 21, 2008
By gmann2388from camping everywhere in the midwest
"I have had my Sportsman's Space Blanket for a few years now, and have used it for many things. It works awesome as a 2 man tent liner that keeps the floor clean and with the reflective size up will reflect flashlight light as well as keep your heat in the tent. It also works well as an emergency tarp/blanket. With grommets on the corners you can use it for a covering to keep the rain off of you or wrap around you for insulation."

Sportsman's space blankets are awesome!,
June 2, 2008
By SAMNBZfrom chicago IL
"I bought 4 of these to cover the top of my camper after reading all the other good reviews. I have a Quicksilver 10 camper and the entire top is vinyl tenting. On my first trip with them I realized I only had enough to cover part of the top, but I decided to throw them on one end to see how they'd work. Well, we had a major downpour that lasted for hours and I didn't get even one drip on the covered side! (I wish I could say the same for the other end) It also kept the temp cooler during the day... and darker for improved sleeping in the morning. I came home and ordered two more so I can completely cover my top... I used industrial velcro to hold the blankets together and clips for the sides. I can't wait for my next trip!"

Space Blanket, you need one.,
May 29, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Shinglehouse, PA
"I've been using these for maybe 20 or more years. I just replaced the ones I've had. I would recommend to have them in your car/truck, just in case. I use one in my big truck so I can turn the truck off in the winter and they do keep me warm (to save fuel). Problem is getting up from under them and turning the truck back on. It's also great on the bed at home. But put another blanket on top as they sometimes slide off if you move around a lot while you're sleeping. So get a few and use them everywhere, i do. I have also covered myself when watching TV late at night, when I've turned the heat down for the night."

VERY popular @ chilly, windy soccer games!!!,
April 14, 2008
By TexasTerryfrom Garland, TX
"My husband made fun of me for buying 3 of these blankets a few weeks ago - - we live in Texas, and we aren't campers. But there we were on the 2nd Saturday in April, with a strong and chilly wind blowing wildly into our faces as we sat at our son's outdoor soccer game. I immediately pulled out one of these blankets, and it not only completely blocked the wind but also kept me warm! Before I knew it, I had all 3 of them distributed and in full use on those bleachers! They are VERY big, a VERY nice size - - 1 of the blankets was pulled taut and shared by 2 Moms and 3 Kids in the first row! I absolutely recommend these blankets, they are perfect as stadium blankets and they don't take up much room in my car's trunk!"

"Finally bought one of these over the weekend. Just tried covering up with it at home, and within 2 minutes I had to put it away because I was so warm. Should work great for camping, and I'll probably throw it in my hunting pack if I go roaming around the Big Woods in cold weather."

BEST emergency blanket!!!!,
February 20, 2008
By emptyhandkillerfrom Prescott Valley, AZ
"I was compiling an emergency/survival kit for my truck and I ended up at Cabela's for this blanket. It is the very best in my opinion! It is MUCH thicker and larger than the typical "baby" tissue paper blankets that are everywhere. Yes, it takes up a bit more room, but it's well worth it. Also, as I have read elsewhere, it doesn't "crinkle" when you move or fold it. Cabela's has always been my first choice for quality and good service."

Exactly what I was looking for,
October 23, 2007

"I was looking for heavy duty emergency type blankets, ones that I could use as a tarp or under sleeping bags. These do the trick. I have one of them in the dog run, under their dog bed, for the winter months."

Great Product!,
October 1, 2007
By StephenJefffrom Plant City, FL
"Everybody seems to have these for their pop-ups! Now I know why! The HOT Florida sun makes the temps go up inside, even when the A/C is on High... so I tried these on the ends of my pop-up camper, yes! it works! You can feel the fabric inside under the solar cover, it is cool to the touch! I have also discovered it helps keep it darker inside~ during those mornings you want to sleep in a little more! Worth every dime!"

Sportsman Space Blanket,
August 7, 2007
By TexasAggie
"I purchased 2 Sportsman Space blankets to use on my pop up camper. I put them on the outside of my slide outs. I live in south Texas close to the coast. It is hot and humid here in the summer. The blankets are installed with the aluminum side out to reflect the heat. During the winter months I plan to install them with the aluminum side down to keep heat inside the camper. The only thing I wish they had was a draw string sewn into the ends so I could tie them down a little tighter. As they are I use a rope through the grommet ends to secure them. I also use some clothes pins to better secure them on the edges of the slide out. It is a good product and very inexpensive way to "insulate" the ends."

Space blankets,
July 18, 2007
By MountainCityGirlfrom TN-NC, Region
"These mylar blankets are a life saver. They really hold the heat in on cold nights. You have to place the silver part facing down towards the camper, for the heat to stay in. In the summer time, have the silver part facing the sky. This helps keep it cool inside the camper. The A/C doesn't have to work tiwce as hard. It really protects the canvas during the rain, and you can tell a big difference. Your camper will really thank you for these space blankets. Camping dealerships and some popup camping web sites will charge twice to three times more for the same thing. Bottom line: you could pay alot more, and get a lot less!!! Hope this helps you in your search for a good quallity space blanket."

"I have a popup camper, and use them over the canvas pullouts where the beds are located to reduce the heat inside. Worked wonderfully by clothespinning them reflective side out. Rarely had to use the ac which cut down on the noise."
