"Works great, just don't put a sling on the shotgun. The sling tends to catch on the shell holder when bringing into quick action on rabbits. I imagine that it would do the same in a defensive situation if a sling was part of your setup. 5 stars for its function, but 1 star off for hanging the sling up."

Good, but not Great,

"Wasn't my cup of tea, but build quality is acceptable. I have yet to fire my shotgun with the sidesaddle on, but the plastic seems a little bit softer than i would like. I have yet to find any major flaws, except with my Maverick 88 field model, my forearm would hit the saddle, and would not come all the way back. In the end I modified a spare forearm cutting the the back edge off so the forearm will slide all the way back. I installation process would have been much easier on another shotgun without the overlapping forearm.
Overall a good product but I found it was not for me."

"Graces the Mossberg Roadblocker pistol grip 12 guage beautifully. As a matter of fact, I ordered 5 more in order to retrofit the 5 magazine pouches of the AR15 bag that I purchased to carry the shorter pistol-grip-only shotgun. They are the same length as a standard 30 round AR15 magazine, and fit well in the pouches, giving me another 30 round capacity for ready access."

Great for extra shells.,

"This item fits perfectly and is very easy to install, and is perfect for an extra 6 shells. However, I did read some reviews that complained of the screws getting loose and the Sidesaddle falling off. I put a drop of thread locker on each screw just before screwing into the Sidesaddle and I have not had a problem and don't think I ever will. Just remember, when tightening the screws, don't tighten "tooooo" much because you can bind the pump action, the screws are just replacing pins ."

Holds shells firm, does not move at all
Comes with washers for screws that I chose not to use, I felt the screws needed to grab more threads therefore I scrapped the washers"

"I just installed my side saddle and it honestly only took 5 mins max. Even though it says that you have to modify the forend on the Remington 870, that is not always the case. I have a newer 870 and as long as your forend doesn't overlap your receiver during the pump action, this will fit just fine with no mods. That being said, this is an amazing item; esp. for the price! Great construction, solidly holds the shells, and looks mean! I would recommend this item to anyone who is building a tricked out home defense shotty!"
