"I recomend stabilicers 100% , never slipped once, even on a very steep snow packed drive down to a lake ,where 4 wheel drives could not go. all others had to walk in the ditch or through woods to keep from falling"

Great traction,
March 1, 2010
By 9446

"I have used other ice traction devices before but these are by far the best. While others may be good just forjust ice their construction is fragile at best ( yack traks and stabilicers lite because of the thin rubber cords that hold then together. The stabilicers are robust with a vibram sole and replaceable cleats. Highly reccomended."

ORDER NEXT LARGER SIZE FOR SNOW BOOTS,
February 15, 2010
By DWfromSC
|
"I ordered the XL, which said it would fit shoe sizes 13-14. It may fit a size 14 tennis shoe, but it won't even come close to fitting a size 14 snow boot. So if you are wearing insulated boots with these, ORDER A SIZE UP."

will not fit pac boots,
February 5, 2010
By Tagman

"I purchased a large pair of the STABILICERS to be worn with a size 11 Cabela's Inferno 2000 pac boot. The length was perfect. However neither the toe strap or the ankle strap are long enough to be fastened. For me they are worthless. The straps need to be about 4 inches longer."

Good Grip,
January 23, 2010
By N12Uniform
from Somers, CT

"Great product, easily fits over hiking boots and stays in position after miles of hiking over icy trails. I've used other ice gripping products that work good on flat surfaces but tend to slip off while climbing or descending icy trails. My only criticism of the Stabilicers is they are way over priced. However, they do work."

Performed Exactly as Advertised!,
January 19, 2010
By Maybee520

"I bought these for my Dad after he took a nasty fall on some ice while hunting. He had been using some of the rubber on/off type cleats, but they just were not designed for the rigors of the areas he walks to. The Stabilicers stay securely on his boots, they grip the ice firmly, and he is thrilled with the performance. It also led to me getting pairs for my husband and his brother, and they report the same satisfaction. Great quality product. I highly recommend them."

Good product,

By adipose

"I have now used these ice cleats 7 times. I have used the slip on rubber ones before and the spikes quickly tore out. These come off and go on easy. I can run to my fishing rod that is getting bit, or run across the ice chasing a windblown bucket without slipping or ruining my ice cleats. I take them off as soon as I leave the lake though so I don't know how durable they would be on asphalt and concrete."

These are the best,

"I spend many, many hours out in the winter. I have found that much of the time is on trails where I do not need flotation provided by my Tubbs snowshoes.
Stabilicers provide the stability and sure footing that I wish I had growing up in Michigan on the ice.
You have to get some of these. They also work as corkers when fly fishing in our streams."

Get a grip,
January 4, 2010
By WenatcheeSteve
from Wenatchee WA
|
"OK if you need something that really works and does not wear out quickly, this is the best I have found so far. I have tried chains, these work well but tend to get snow build up on them and wear out quickly. I have also tried rubber things with metal spikes, I have found they work fine but make the chains look durable. I have never had them last more than one good hike if I am on anything but soft snow, which of course does not need anything but your boots.
The Stabilicers last and the screws can be replaced. They are not quick on an off. I tend to leave them on one set of boots. They seem over-priced for what they are, but I just bought a pair for my wife so I guess I am not the price sensitive and like to know that I will not slip."

Excellent ice traction,
December 29, 2009
By scooper47

|
"These ice creepers are fantastic. They go on easily and fit very well. My size 10 thick pac boots take a "large" with just a tiny overlap. Size 11 probably needs an XL. I bought these three weeks ago and have tried them out four times fishing on glare ice and once with ice covered with a thin layer of wet snow. You don't even know you have them on. If it weren't for the crunching sound of the cleats digging into the ice, you'd think you had forgotten them. After years of using the scissors type with long points, these are a dream and worth every penny. The best part? The cleats are nothing more than sheet metal screws with a crown top, size 8, 1/2-inch long, available for pennies at any hardware store. You need 17 for each sole."

buy LARGER size !!!!,
November 14, 2009
By Hiltopr1
from The Adirondacks, NY
|
"I purchased these to wear on my Cabela's Snowy Range 1200 boot, size 9. According to the size chart I should purchase the medium ones. Well I did and they came and didn't fit at all. The toe straps wouldn't go around the boot at all. I called Cabela's and spoke to a very helpful lady in customer service and she got a product specialist on the line with us. They could find nothing that says with a "large toed" or a "tall , heavy insulated" boot to get a larger size. The customer service rep agreed to pay the shipping costs back and to exhange them for the size large. The Stabilicers arrived and the large size does fit the boot fine. Be careful to go and order the next size up if you plan to use them on a "larger" boot. I was hoping to see a clarification in the products discription and sizing chart but there was done. Hope this will help you purchase the "correct" size. Now let's get some ice on The Lake to give them a good work out !!"

Perfect Solution to Global Climate Change,
November 5, 2009
By KlondikeKid
from Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

"Believe it or not southcentral Alaska sees a lot of mid winter warm weather events causing a lot of icy conditions. I learned of these from a fellow worker and have to say that when you strap on a pair of these its like driving a 6x6 with chains all around. The hollow cut screws bite like no other spike and slippage is non-existent. Great for pushing the snow scoop, shoveling and ice fishing. Built to last a lifetime with replaceable spikes/screws that only cost a few bucks. I recommend them to all my friends."

No Slipping,
March 3, 2009
By Hotspur47
from Northern New York

"These devices are lifesavers! Up here in the Adirondacks there is often black ice under the snow, and Stabilicers remove any fear of slipping. I tried the coil spring slip-on things but lost one when it slingshot-ed off my foot. These attach securely and grip tenaciously for confident walking on ice and packed snow."

Great product,
February 24, 2009
By Amoxom
from Woodbury, Minnesota
|
"Great product although the sizes run a little small. I only have size 11 insulated boots and it was a tight fit with the largest size. Once one though, these things really helped bite into the ice and gave me the ability to walk on glare ice up on the frozen edges of lake superior to take some photographs of the ice flows. Great product and they truly inspire confidence when out walk in icy conditions."
