"Let me preview my post by describing the intended purpose for these gloves. I bought these gloves for driving and general casual use. I did not buy these gloves for heavy work or manual labor. These glove are absolutely great! They are soft and continue to break-in after wearing. They are warm and not too bulky. I bought them for one sale price, saw they went to a lower price and bought another pair for the future. I wear a size XL in most gloves, but for these gloves I wear a 2XL. Buy them on sale, wear them casually and you'll be very happy."

"These gloves are really very nice. They are very warm and very comfortable. However, the pair I received was a little smaller than I expected. I measured my hand as instructed on the website and I was on the lower end of the "large" spectrum so I ordered a size large glove. When they came in, they are pretty snug. I hope the leather stretches a little to form to my hand. Overall, a very nice glove. I think I just need to break them in a bit."

Not-so durable or insulated ...,

"I purchased these gloves based upon the reputation of Elkskin for its durability and that of the Thinsulite insulation.
I just noticed a few days ago that there was significant amount of wear and damage on the fingers, primarily around the thumb side of the index finger and I have only had these for a bit over a month. I have leather gloves which have been far more durable.
I am a fairly sedentary guy now with not so great circulation in my hands and I was hoping to have some durable gloves with proper insulation to keep my hands warm during cold weather. Sadly, these do not, and given the wear rate, I have question as to whether these will last a second season - if they will last the first."

"Excellent warmth and great feel. Exterior finish is excellent. I just wish they were offered with a goretex liner like the deer skin model (the deerskin model has a crummy finish and looks very worn quickly). I would recomend buying the next size up as they seem a bit small when you buy your normal size."
