2009 Deer Season,

"We travel 300 miles one way to hunt WT and Mule deer on our ranch in Texas. Thought I could try this moon phase apparatus to better plan days-off and minimize the cost of travel. In the past years, we would just take off Friday and go almost every weekend during rifle season. Because we look for the bigger older deer and let the younger ones multiply, that added up to some disappointing expense and spent vacation days. In 2009 season I planned a WT hunt with this Moon Guide Dial and saw deer everywhere. It was a great experience for my younger ones because they saw so much from day light to dawn. We ended up with 2 nice and heavy 9 and 10 point WT bucks. Took to the taxidermist and they were the bigger than what they had been getting up to that point (over 80 so far) - also put a lot of meat in the freezer. Then later with this dial, planned another trip for Mule deer and again got to see some big ones. My son and I were able to bring home 2 large 10 and 11 pointers. Now our 27 cu.ft. commercial freezer is maxed out with our own processed vacuumed sealed venison. Bottom-line, we have a lot of experience but I have to give some credit to this dial for helping us to minimize our expenses and for a great harvest. I plan to get another dial for 2010 season!"

"I hunted in Illinois for 2 weeks and used the dials times to hunt specific areas and used calling techniques at those given times.
I saw alot of deer...
I saw 5 huge bucks one giant.No Shot Yet."

"EVERYBODY NEEDS A MOON DIAL. THESE TIMES ARE ACCURATE AND I HAVE KILLED DEER BY THEM. IT DOESNT MEAN THAT DEER DONT MOVE AT OTHER TIMES, BUT IF YOU GO WHEN IT SAYS WHERE IT SAYS, YOU WILL SEE DEER."

"My cousins and i have been using this for this for the past 3 years and every seems to pay off!! Ive killed 4 bucks in the past 3 years and all have been within 20 minutes of when the moon guide says to hunt! Last day of muzzleloader guide said to hunt trails to feeding area..i was there 15 minutes here cam two nice 8 points..non the less i missed but my cousin shot the smaller one ten minutes later...You should still hunt as much as possible thats what raises your chances..but if you have very little time to hunt then i would use the moon guide to plan when to hunt!"

"We love the moon dial. This is as accurate as you will get. We have tried it for 3 years now and found out that it is true. You cannot go by it exactly because of the weather and hunting pressure but it is as good as anything gets. We find it to be 90-95% effective. It is amazing how the moon and stars affect us and the animals. If you watch closely you will see that it has a tremendous effect on us all. I was not able to get the 5 star rating to work for me so I am mentioning it here."

"Jeff Murray knows deer and how the moon affects movement. You can see deer when it says you may not have a good hunt, and vice versa, but the information on this is correct. If you don't see animals when this says you should, you are in the wrong place at the right time, not the wheel's fault."

"this is the only thing that i've bought from cabela's that i'm not happy with one person said 1/2 right well so far it hasn't been right yet for me deer i've seen so far while bow hunting is just before day light and nothing after that then again at dark i've been on my way home and have seen alot more then while hunting.i'll not buy these again for next season.and will not recommend this moon guide to anyone sorry cabela's but it wasn't worth the money had to try them and now wish i didn't"
