Deer Magnet, September 9, 2009
By northernwhitetailchaser from Thunder Bay, ON

"I have used various other types of salt and mineral attractants, all with little or no success. Once the deer cane was applied within feet of the other mineral licks, a crater began to form. The product has been working well for me all year long and deer frequent the site constantly. Strongly recommended."

Deer Cane Block-- see more deer, August 18, 2009
By bluetoe from Nanjemoy Md

"I have been using this product fro the passed 5 years and it works great. I reapply every 3-4 months and my lick sites are just a crater in the ground. The blocks are not heavy and very easy to transport to the site."

Tried em all, August 11, 2009
By beartracker from blacktail and bears

"This one seems to make them crazy. Have seen them kick away others and start to walk away only to get a few feet away to return. They don't leave it alone till it's gone. The best succes with this one."

Great stuff, July 14, 2009
By CedarJunkie from Missouri

"I've used this product for about 3 years and was a little surprised to read some of the negative reviews. All I can say is to follow the instructions and bury it. I have wallows 3-5 feet across and a foot deep from the deer just tearing it up! I will refresh the same hole about twice a year with another block, but always burying the thing. I think that is the key. Don't bury it on one of your trails unless you want a pothole!"

Deer Cane Block, September 23, 2008
By ChuckIV from Carthage, MO

"I sat out 2 blocks of Deer Cane one morning next to my trail camera. I have a picture 5 hours later with a nice buck standing over the two Deer Cane blocks. I had no idea that these blocks would work this fast. I had my trail cam up for one week with only two pics on it. I put these out and in only four days the film in my camera was full of pictures of deer by the blocks. I guess they work and I'm glad I got them."

Not good for Blacktail, November 25, 2007
By seahawkfan38 from Kelso, Wa

"This might work well for Whitetails, but Blacktails don't like it. I put out several bloacks in a 50yd radius and a week later. The only thing that touched them was the rain."

Works in Kansas, November 22, 2007
By TuffyNo1

"Seems to work good. Placed one of these, a Trophy Rock and a Whitetail Addiction block all near our tripod corn feeder, about 20 feet apart each. Found no notable difference in consuming of all blocks by the deer. Seems like they just need a small amount each day or each week, the deer don't eat in gobs like you might think by observing commercials! All the blocks are nearly all salt, which is pretty good at withstanding rain, but the Trophy Rock can take a lot more rain and weather than the others, although they are 2-3 times as large."

Stupid deer?, November 5, 2007
By Bullseye1155 from North Central PA

"Maybe the deer in North Central Pennsylvania aren't too bright, but this product has not got any interest at all since late Spring when I set one up in front of a trail camera. In fact the only time a deer even bent down to taste the block was recently after I sprayed it with "C'meer Deer" solution.
I also gave a block of it to my taxidermist neighbor for his captive white tail, which also hasn't given it any attention.
I have several of the blocks remaining placed near deer trails and will leave them there to see if there is any interest later in the year, as another customer reported, but I'm not holding any confidence of that.

Easy way to dig a hole, August 14, 2007
By RichMo from MO.

"I put out a block of DEER Cane last fall and didn't see much activity. However this spring after the block had melted into the ground the deer started eating dirt to get the stuff. The deer have now eaten a hole larger than a 5 gal. bucket and close to 2' deep. They really love this stuff. I just freshened my lick with the powder Deer Cane mix so look out china the deer are coming."
