"If you like toothy critters, then this is the lure for you. I have fished it on multiple occasions, and 75 percent of the fish have been Pickerel. It works very well when baitfish are schooling and the fish are keyed in on the schools. Its pretty durable and has held up to many, many vicious attacks. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is that I have more then enough Pickerel lures, and don't really need another one."

"The Spro BBZ-1 four-inch swimbait is a great bait. I think it is the best of the four-inch swimbaits. I have the True-Tungsten Swimbait, Sebile Magic Swimmer, and Strikeking Sexy Swimmer. Out of all these four-inch swimbaits the Spro Swimbait performs the best. It has great action, a good fall rate in the three different models, and a good hook-up ratio. I would recommend this bait."

"The lure is very productive and very lifelike. I have purchased the "Floating, Slow Sink, and the Fast Sink of all four colors. I troll with the floating, cast with the slow sink everywhere (be sure to use fluorocarbon line so it will sink better with better feel.) The fast sink in deep areas. The only problem with the fluorocarbon line is it makes the floating lure sink at a very slow rate when casting and retrieving. I love the lure but if it ever gets hung up I know I am going swimming!!! The hook on it is very strong and sharp ."

"little hard to cast into the wind, seems like the kind of bait I bought it for. Unfortunately right now the stripers are starting to boil on shad and so far they haven't touched the swim shad. Either there preprogrammed for nothing but live bait, or I'm not picking something up and working the bait to there liking. Either way still an awesome bait and its day will come"

"I received both the 7/8 oz (slow sink rate) blue herring Spro BBZ-1 Shad and the bluegill True-Life 4" in the same order, being new to this wave of hard swimbaits that everybody is talking about, but not new to the sport, I decided to give it a try. The BBZ-1 has the right size and shape, the reflective finish & paint scheme are great too; plus it comes with molded dorsal fin and tail in semi-soft plastic that would do wonders to extend the life of the product in real life situations like when bouncing back from the rocks without breaking in large distance shots. Well thought!!!
For largemouth bass purposes, the Tru-Life 4" is too small and the tail end is too thick for my personal taste. But if I didn't have any other choices out there, I would probably buy it again. But that's not the case having the SPRO's and STRIKE PRO's.

"Before the Lakes froze over , I had great success with the BBZ-1-Shad (001) "Blue Back Herring" on Bass & Pike, but then I Lost it to a Pike. I ordered another, but you send me the BBZ-1-004-"Natural Shad" Because I didn't order over the Phone, but by Computer, I was not able to click on the "001-Blue Back Herring" only on the other 3 choices. Once the Ice is gone and I get a change to use "BBZ-1-004" I hope it works as well as the "Blue Back Herring" my first choice."

"before you say one bait is good or bad you have to use 10 of the same baits end than say not after first try maybe wrong you say it is bad. i purchase this swimbait lately. it is good.now if it will work on every water i go for fishing it's the question and depend also of our ability to manage it. every lure have his way of using it so it depend of us also how it work."
