    Realistic?, November 14, 2009
    By universal from Luck, WI

"I was very dissapointed in cabels dangerous hunts 2009. for starters, the weapons. A 30-30 a high caliber rifle???? A .338 a lower caliber rifle???? Thats enough to make any knowledgable gun lover quit the game right there, aside from the fact you get a .577 tyran. to begin the game with...... No one would ever hunt half the animals in this game with a gun that big. Has anyone ever killed a lion with the butt of their gun, or thrown one off of them? Maybe a newborn cub. Not to mention some of the missions animals seem to be "boss" animals, taking multiple headshots without dying (seen blood spray out of forhead???)Hand to hand unrealistic, weapons mostly unrealistic. Graphics were ok, still on parr with cabelas hunting games not being very enviromentally friendly to the player. Lets your interact little on your own, and tells you what to do. You pretty much get told what to do, and guided along the whole way which really wasnt fun. I would of liked a game where you could free hunt as well, and free roam as well as decide how you would like to go about beating each mission without a set of rules. I'm sorry, but no to cabelas dangerous hunts 2009."

    Dangerous Hunts, September 19, 2009
    By GhanaArcheryClub from Accra, Ghana

"The game is fun to play; however, it took me some time to figure it out. It is difficult for younger kids to figure out, but it is fun to watch them being eaten and mauled. Its the one game that I can actually defeat my kids. Be careful of the time frame, as you can play this for hours on end..."

Outstanding and Fun Action, September 10, 2009
    By JWHPCA from Pleasanton, CA

"I've purchased other Cabela's game and other hunting games and this game took more strategizing than ever but that made it more fun for me. The game cost less here than anywhere else. The graphics were superior and response was realistic to the touch. I just hope the next Cabela hunting game is just as good as this one but gives one the ability to go back to any favorite hunting stage/level without having to start from the begining of a new game once you have completed the whole game. Otherwise, this game is awesome and exciting. I just couldn't put the controllers down once I got started."

    Disappointed, July 7, 2009
By onebetterbeAn from Little Rock: a fan of the Original

"I had high hopes for this new title, being on the new and powerful systems that we are blessed with today, however, this was just a remix of DH2, where all of the game animals are funneled to you, on a very restricted path, and no options are available to the player as to how an animal is tracked or approached. I feel like the hunter sense and the adrenaline features are a joke. This isn't supposed to be the Matrix. This is supposed to be hunting. Tracking animals, deciding which way you feel is best to approach an animal, taking the shot, and bagging the prize, all while having to watch your back for the predators that are around, NOT "hunting" the predators almost exclusively, which chase you down regardless of where you are or what you're doing. The 2 stars came from the beautiful areas (the only saving grace in my eyes) but the gameplay just isn't there. I wish that I had read a review from someone that had compared it to the original before I had purchased it. If I had, it would still be on the shelf."

    Dangerous Hunts 2009, May 11, 2009

"The instruction booklet included with the game does not explane all the aspects of the game. It does not explain how to save a hunt when you reach a point and want to leave the game.

When you want to stop and leave the game by turning off the WII, you lose everthing you have done in that hunt and have to start over next time.

    Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009, April 4, 2009
By ACES6 from Camp Taji, Iraq

"This game takes a few minutes to get used to, i.e., controls, pace, etc., but an excellent adventure. Me and my boys pass our off-time between missions here in Iraq playing and we have a blast - literally. Cabellas also ships to the OIF theater of operations, so no issues getting your goodies - and in a timely manner.

Nothing quite as cool as seeing the Cabella's logo on a package at mail call.

    Gameplay on Xbox360, March 30, 2009
    By John342412532 from Seattle, WA

"The game is okay. Not anywhere near the gameplay quality of first line games, but it isn't priced as high either.

I have played all of these and think the "Africa" version is the best so far.

Dangerous hunts 2009 is awsome, February 28, 2009
    By huntingrocks from Prescott, AZ

"I bought this game the day it came out after waiting since August to buy. It was worth the wait. It's kinda wierd that he can kill wolves and lions with the guns butt, but it makes it more fun. Missions 2 and 10 rock. My only complant is that I havent found a wildbeast stamped and if I do find one, it took to long. It was a great price and a fun, awsome, challenging, realistic Dangerous hunts game. Everyone who likes hunting and hunting video games, this reallife like hunting game is for you."

    Bummer, February 3, 2009
    By dlv38

"I am very disappointed with this one. If I could've given 2 and a HALF stars, I would've. The only reason I didn't give less is the quality of graphics and realism of the gear and firearms. I don't know why they are moving toward the unrealistic "Interactive Movie" type game, but this is by far NOT the type of game play that first turned me onto hunting games. I loved the original Dangerous Hunts for the complete freedom to make decisions and act freely as scenarios unfolded. This game is absolutely not that game. Personally, I am not a fan of the highly complicated hunting simulations that are as realistic and real time as real world experience. That's why I thought the original Dangerous Hunts was almost perfect. This latest version is the FAR other end of the spectrum with movie-like action where you basically WATCH the action of an attack unfold and have VERY little, if any, interaction in the event itself. I do love the original and hope they move back to a game style with complete freedom to do and act as you wish in every moment. The graphics and gear are much improved for 2009, but the ability to make decisions, fire at will and/or evade is non-existent."

not so good, January 27, 2009
    By Anonymous from Montreal, Quebec

"graphic are not bad but the story is lame and the hunt is in fantasy world. you get attack on every hunt.
some mission is good but most of it is average. and the limit of the map is lame you can not climb on mountain sometime a little bush keep you
away from your goal and you have to find the trail
