Pretty good stuff,March 5, 2010
By gofnhntfrom Wytheville, VA
"I purchased these while on sale in January. We were coming off of a huge snow storm here in SW Virginia, and I wore these to feed on an open tractor, temperature about 18 degrees. They were very warm and the thick outer material kept the wind at bay. I would rate these 4 stars, only because they are a bit bulky. I would highly recommend these for outdoor sporting events, farmers, etc"

Parka,January 23, 2010
By Cricket59from Rome, Ga.
"I bought this Parka, and I love it. I am cold natured and the cold and the rain and the wind don't get thru. The only thing that I hate is the zipper, most of the time I can"t get it to zip up. I don't know what to do about the zipper, but I do love the coat."

Cabela's Roughneck Dry-Plus® Thinsulate™ Parka - R,January 4, 2010
By Anonymousfrom Wichita
"This is an extremely nice coat. Too bad the front zipper only works correctly about 50% of the time. I have contacted Cabela's. They don't have any more in XL, and they have discontinued the product. I hope you have better luck. Like I said, a very nice coat. Anyway, They seemed nice about the situation. I have ordered a Carharrt from them."

Roughneck DriPlus Parka,December 18, 2009
By Greg44from On Upper Mississippi River
"Received mine today, returning it. Hood is too large (adjustments can not reduce it to normal size. Neck is too small (can't zip all the way up to cover throat & chin. Too bad because materials & rest of construction appear to be good quality."

"I looked at the coat on the internet at Cabellas and thought it was a good buy. When I received it I realized that it really was a great buy. I have dealt with them before and I think they are great. I will consider them for my future purchases, John"

Cabela's Roughneck Dry-Plus® Thinsu,December 7, 2009
By Buggymanfrom Medina OH
"I recently took a job as a custodian and I will be outside clearing snow and doing outside maintenance. The reviews were good on this parka I don't regret this purchase,I've worn it in only rain so far and I was dry it blocks the wind and the hood works excellent. I also like the material its made out of it seems to be durable less likely to snag on sharp equipment. This job is in northern Ohio where the wind chill alone can be brutal. Excellent parka"

Good Stuff,November 19, 2009
By Alfalfa2from Grand Junction,Co.
"This has been a great parka, thus far. I had it out in a lot of wet snow and rain, and the dry-plus worked fine. At 2-degrees, it was plenty warm. It looks and fits nice. The only thing I would change, is that I would would have a metal zipper. Also, I had it in a forty MPH wind and the dry-plus stopped the wind. This is a very good product."

Little neck too big head.,February 16, 2009

"This is probably the first thing I have ever returned to Cabelas! The coat fit well. but the neck and hood were TOTALLY out of proportion. I think I'm going to try their trooper parka,,, it looks similar."

GREAT JACKET!!!!!,January 13, 2009
By NewTexfrom Texas Hill Country
"I live in the Texas Hill Country. During the winter, when we get the Blue Northers coming down from Oklahoma this jacket keeps me snug and warm while sitting out in the open on a tractor, exposed to the sleet and rain, while taking the round bales to the cows in the field. Its GREAT!!! does the job. cant ask for more than that."

Great Product,March 21, 2008
By lundfisherfrom Acworth, GA
"I am very demanding of my equipment and this product (along with matching Bibs) totally filled my expectations. I had previously purchased another parka from Cabela's and returned it because the hood was to small and I like a FULL hood that wraps around my face when drawn. The parka and bibs are warm, do an excellent job of breaking the wind and keeping one dry. My only suggestion would be to modify the bib overall (pants) zipper to avoid having to undo the suspenders and lowering the overalls when answering natures call. Small inconvenience when you consider the overall functionality. Just drink less COFFEE or whatever!"

Roughneck Parka,February 22, 2008
By Shoppinguyfrom Northeastern Pa.
"Too new to have given it a full try just yet but I can say that I like the feel of it. It's comfortable on the cold days I've worn it. Plenty of pockets to store stuff in and I think the black color looks nice enough to wear out casually. The hood feels a bit awkward when worn laid back (not pulled up over my head) in that it's lumpy, if that describes it. The bulge makes it especially awkward when driving my pickup. Overall, I think for now I can rate this coat as an excellent product and, for me at least, at a very good price."

If you "live" outside, you should have this.,February 13, 2008
By nonameavailablefrom Upper Potomac river MD
"Warm, waterproof, and windproof... combined with the bibs you will stay warm even during periods of little activity. the ONLY gripe I have with this parka is that you cannot zip it up to cover your face like a "storm flap" and you would need a very long neck to have the collar stop below your chin. Having said that, I used my "suit" on a striper fishing trip in January, 30 mph wind from the east, 10-12ft seas (sometimes 15ft) water crashing over the TOP of the boat.. and I stayed warm and dry ALL DAY!! 'nuff said...!"

Warm, very warm.,February 6, 2008
By not2coldfrom Rochester, NY
"This is my second Western NY Winter season with this Parka (I also got the matching bibs) and let me tell you both will keep you unbelievably warm. So much so that I have put both this Parka and the Bibs on over my PJ's to go out and shovel the walk and driveway before bed at night (it seems to never stop snowing up here) and within 20 min's or so of shoveling I will be breaking out in a sweat. This with the Air Temp being between 22 and 32 degrees F with 10 mph winds. This Parka will stop the wind (you won't feel a thing) and the rain, snow, sleet, and hail while leaving you dry on the inside. The shoulders and Arms fit alright but I do agree that the hood is a bit big. Both the Parka and Bibs have held up to being thrown in the washer and dryer (following instructions) without any loss of effectiveness or fasteners breaking off. Very good quality and workmanship. Overall I very pleased with my purchase. A word of advice however, don't bundle up to much under this if your going to be very active esp. if wearing the bibs. I only gave it four stars cause everything can use some improvement"

DECENT JACKET FOR THE PRICE,January 31, 2008
By KANARK
"THE JACKET WORKS WELL KEEPS YOU DRY AND WARM.THE DRAWBACK TO IT IS THE NECK OPENING IS TO SMALL AND THEREFORE THE ZIPPER WILL NOT GO ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP TO KEEP RAIN AND SNOW OUTSIDE WHERE IT BELONGS AND NOT INSIDE THE NECK OF THE COAT AND THE PULL TAB ON THE ZIPPER BROKE OF IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS"
