"After reading the negative reviews by a few, I thought that it would be helpful to those considering purchasing these shoes to know some facts about them. They are hand sewn and therefor not always true to size. The professionals are the only Dansko shoes with this particular foot last. If you love this model they come in an enormous array of colors. The company has an outlet in West Grove PA (and possibly other parts of the country) where they have an ever changing supply of shoes for great prices, however you have to go to the store and try them on to get the right ones. They have a large assortment of styles in dress shoes and sandals that are incredibly well made. As a professional figure skating coach that has had several knee surgeries, I find that wearing the the professional model from this company has been the best way to get through the days when I have to be on my feet a lot. The only other shoes that alleviate knee pain are the flip flop version of Crocs, due to the wonderfully absorbent soles. The Dansko professionals may take some trial and error to get the correct size, but if they end up fitting your particular foot shape correctly they are well worth the hassle and the price."

"This is my second pair of Danskos. They were recommended by a friend, I bought one pair last year and liked them sooo much that I ordered a different color this year to add to my shoe collection. They are so comfortable and put my back in great alignment. I wear my black ones to work in at the hospital and 12 hours later I don't even feel like I've been on my feet!"

"I've had Plantar Faciitis for almost 2 years now and have tried custom made insoles, shoes with springs in them, etc. I received my Dansko clogs a few weeks ago, and I'm ready to order one of each style !!! I can wear these shoes all day and everyday and my feet don't hurt! Truly amazing! My life is back to normal because of these shoes. And even though I had to order a size 41, my feet look small with them on (a bonus). If you're reading this review to see if you should order some - - - don't hesitate to buy them, you'll love them!"

"I am on my 2nd pair of Dansko clogs. Will be ordering a new pair in a different color. I wear Danskos all winter and won't wear anything else. They are durable and comfortable. They are great for wearing all day shopping and even better going through security lines at the airport. Combined with Cabela's light wool socks they keep my feet toasty in the coldest weather! And because we don't wear shoes in our home, they are easy to slip on and off by the front door when juggling three kids and everything else! They are worth every penny spent on them!"

"Good shoe very comfortable but I have a very high arch and I found that the top of the shoe was to tight across the top of my foot. I had a hard time getting my foot in to the shoe, the opening is stiff, and because of the tightness across the top of the shoe it made my feet go numb. However the shoe is excellant if you can get your foot into it. I wore it around the house and these are great for comfort excellant in fact, Just not a good fit for me."

"I love these shoes. I work 12 hour days and my feet do not hurt while wearing these shoes. I wear a size 8 but had to send the 38's back and get the 39's. The 38's were too snug and the 39's are slightly too big. But I'm able to look over the sizing due to the comfort."

Believe It - Just as Comfortable as Advertised!,

"I bought these for a recent trade show, and had NO discomfort after 3 full days on my feet and tons of walking at the venue. Yes, they're ugly as sin, but once you realize how nicely they treat your feet, you won't care what they look like.
Do buy a size larger than you think you need in the clogs (that's not the case for the sandals -- they're more true to size).
BTW, the clogs were also great at the aiport. They come off and go back on with no hands required, so make walking through security a breeze."

"I confess that I am a shoeaholic; I own over 70 pair of shoes! Yet when I head off to work each day, where I have to park about one-quarter of a mile away from my office and often stand for three hours or more at a time, I always wear one of my three pair of Dansko Professional Oiled Clogs. Whereas my other shoes often cause blisters or leg fatigue by the end of the day, the Dansko Clogs have never done so. Although I wear them for most of the winter, except on the snowiest of days when
the sidewalks are not clean, the shoes have held up exceptionally well. I like the Dansko Clogs so much, in fact, that last summer I purchased several pair of Dansko sandals! I highly recommend that everyone try a pair of Danskos!!"
