Zeiss 3x9x50 Conquest scope,October 26, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Utah
"I have several Zeiss scopes but this is my first 50 size objective lens. It is superb by any measure and exceptional at first and last light. I have not found it to be "bulky" and the mounting height remains very low.
Highly recommended!"

Hard to beat!,October 20, 2009
By LordOfInshorefrom Denham Springs, La
"I love these scopes. Only thing is I wish the logo wasn't blue and that they had more accessories available. If they would come out with some screw-on flip up lens covers like Leupold it would be nice. I almost got the new VX-3 which is much better than the old VX-III but when I look through them I still like the Zeiss. I do like the scopecoat that comes with the Leupold better than the caps that come with the Zeiss."
"I put this scope on my tikka 25-06 and started messing around with it. I really wasn't as ready as I wanted to be but my buddy called me up and said we needed to go buy some doe antelope tags. so I loaded up some shells and went and zeroed at 200. the online calculator on the zeiss website told me what power to put it on. I found a doe across a huge valley that I ranged at 760 yards with my Leica binoculars. it was so far away after the shot i had time to find her in my scope again after the recoil and see the bullet hit her right behind the front shoulder. I could not believe my eyes! she was anchored but holding her head up so I had to try again I put my 750 right on her head and put one through her neck. unbelievable I am shocked at how close this reticle is."

Very nice scope, but...,August 30, 2009
By tjl1010from Denver, CO
"I purchased the 3.5-10x44 with the Z-600 Reticle for my .30/06. I used it on an oryx hunt I just had in New Mexico. When I got to New Mexico I met my guide and we checked to make sure I was still sighted in at the range. I hit targets at 200 and 450 yards and the Z 600 reticle makes this easy to do. On the second day of my hunt I downed my animal at 550 yd. With an accurate distance from my range finder this Z-600 reticle and the clear bright optics from Zeiss performed well for me on my hunt.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the way the ballistic reticle works with my caliber and load (.30/06, 180 gr Nosler Partition) I must have the power setting on 8 to use it properly. So if I want to use the 300, 400, 500, 600 crosshairs with my gun I can't use the maximum power setting of 10, I have to be on 8 for it to compensate for bullet drop properly. Not a real bid deal, but it would be nice to use the maximum power if you're shooting out past 300 yd.
Overall great scope backed up by great warranty."

"BOUGHT MY FIRST ZEISS SCOPE LAST FALL AND PUT IT ON MY NEW 8 MM MAUSER. HARVESTED A NICE BUCK DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF THE PENNSYLVANIA DEER/RIFLE SEASON. OPTICS ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR AND VERY EASY TO FOCUS. IT WAS A GOOD BUSINESS MOVE ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY TO COME OUT WITH THIS "AFFORDABLE" LINE OF SCOPES. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THIS PRODUCT."

4.5-14x44mm Conquest Rapid Z 800,July 29, 2009
By jkhunt77
"I have owned about every kind of scope out there. This scope is unreal! I have it on a 7mm ultra mag, so you aren't going to get to much more shock then what that gun will put out. At 600 to 700 yards it is crystal clear. The drop recticle is amazing. I went on their web sight and downloaded my information of what I was shooting and it will tell you where you will hit. For instance, at the 600 yard line I was told that I would zero in at 630 yards. At 630 yards I put two 6 inch ballons on a board put my gun in a weighted gun sled and 2 shots later no more ballons. Couldn't check the 700 or 800 yard marks as I couldn't find a long enough distance to shoot, but everything was good up to that point. I have looked at objects through this scope at over 1000 yards just to see how clear it was. Everything was very clear. Also very good light transmission. You can't go wrong with this scope, and about 20% less then a Swarovski of compairable size."

Dollar for dollar, as good as it gets!,July 29, 2009
By Montanachromefrom Missoula, MT
"This is the second Zeiss Z-Plex that I have purchased. I was so impressed as well as pleased with my first purchase that I opted to buy another.
I have tried several of the other so called ballistic compensating type scopes. Some cheaper and some considerably more expensive. None were as accurate and consistently reliable as the Z-Plex!
My experiences with the Z-Plex is that they have been exceptionally accurate to 500 yds. as long as I do my job properly.
Would I buy another? Absolutely! Would I recommend this product to a friend? Without hesitation!
What else needs to be said..."

3-9 Zeiss Conquest,July 14, 2009
By ndakhntr
"A decent and clear scope comparable to Leupold VX III. Scope caps are nice, you don"t get anything nice like that with a Leupold. Adjustments are not marked as they should be, suggest U D L R for up down left and right. It might cost you a few shots while sighting in unless you want to read their instruction manual every time. I won't send it back but I won't buy another one either. Back to Leupolds for me!"

Crosshairs way to thin.,January 20, 2009
By LuckyCraftfrom Bryson City, NC
"I purchased the 3.5-10-44 Conquest. The plex crosshairs are way to thin to see in low light. The clarity was not any better than a mid priced scope. I was not satisfied and sent it back for a Leupold VX3L."

3.5-10X50 RapidZ-600,January 5, 2009
By MilRivMontana
"I've owned alot of rifle scopes over the last 35 years. This Zeiss Conquest beats them all hands down! There is no better scope in the same price range, that I have found. Clarity, adjustment repeatability, adjustment accuracy...you name it. One click 'up' IS one quarter inch 'up'....not sideways or at an angle down range. I've converted three professional guides from Bushnell owners to Zeiss owners simply by letting them use my rifle on the prairie dog range for a few shots. Though I gave it a five stars...I would prefer aluminum windage and elevation covers rather than plastic. I don't see that as a funcionality issue, but rather simply a preference. I have over one hundred rounds of 7mm Mag under this scope with no adjustments other than my original 200 yard zero adjustments after installation. The RapidZ ballistic reticle is dead on using the online Zeiss ballistic calculator...you only need to remember one number, what power to put the scope on in order to make the bullet drop meet the yardage marks...in the case of my chosen ammo, it is 9.2 magnification for all ranges, or an even 9 for simplicity. My opinion is the only way to get better is to drop the three grand on a Zeiss Victory."

The best there is - very modest price,November 7, 2008
By Darkofrom Chicago, IL - 24 years of hunting exp. in Europe
"Zeiss Conquest riflescope is of great quality. Optically, you will be hard pressed to find better scope regardless of price. Only the high-end Zeiss scopes that cost 3-4 times more can surely surpass the quality of the Conquest. I have Conquest 3,5-10x44 mounted with Talley’s bases and rings on my Sauer 202 Elegance rifle in 7mm Remington Magnum. Constant grouping of 5 shots under 0.5 of an inch with Federal 175 grain Trophy Bonded Bear Claw bullet is standard. In the past I have used Zeiss Dialyt 1,5-6x42 mounted with Suhler montage on my Suhl Drilling in 7x65R/12/12, Kahles 2.2-9x42 on my Browning BAR in 7mm Remington Magnum and Jena Zeiss 6x31,5 on my Mauser style custom made rifle in 7x64 (very popular caliber in Europe – close to 270 Winchester in the USA). Zaiss Dialyt and Kahles are the high-end scopes and Conquest stands on its own right in this noble (and bank breaking) company. What is equally important about the Conquest is its great reliability and mechanical strength. This characteristic of all Zeiss products. Constant repeatability and simplicity of adjustments is great addition to this desirable and more than modestly priced scope. Brightness and resolution is bar none in this price range and can be compared to high-end scopes from Europe. Regardless of your budget, Zeiss Conquest will fulfill all your expectations and your hunting needs and will go beyond. Great functioning and great looking scope with superior optical performance for very modest price – what ells to ask from great product from one of the most respected manufacturer in the business? My Zeiss 10x40 Classic binoculars are optically even better. Thank you Zeiss for all pleasure we who love outdoors can enjoy by using great products so essentially important for any successful hunt."

4.5-14 Zeiss conquest Rapid-z 800,November 3, 2008
By UltramagFreakfrom N.E. South Dakota
"I have owned a lot of riflescopes in the past 15 years, mostly Leupold vxIII and Nikon monarchs, at least a 3 or 4 of each. The Nikon monarchs might have a very slight edge in clairity over the Zeiss, and I emphasize very slight! Nothing I own even comes close to the Zeiss when it comes to making very precise adjustments. I own a 300 & 338 ultramag, Both guns will test your equipment in the recoil department. The Zeiss is THE ONLY scope that I own that when I make a 3 or 4 click adjustment the group will move exactly 3/4 to 1" in the direction it was supposed to go. With the Leupold or the Nikon a 3 or 4 click adjustment was anybodys guess where the group would end up! My best advise is visit the Zeiss web site to determine which of the rapid-z reticles best matches your guns ballistics, and then order one from Cabelas! If you are tired of chasing 3 shot groups around the target and wasting very expensive bullets, buy a Zeiss! P.S. I just shot a 14" buck antelope at 400 Leica lasered yards and a doe antelope at a Leica lasered 540 yds. with this scope. Both 1 shot kills! If you are shooting a mild kicking gun, any of the scopes I mentioned will probably work fine. If you own something that kicks hard, spend the money and Buy the Zeiss!"
