The Weight-Forward Mini-Tip is a very versatile line with a 5-foot mini sink tip made in line weights from 3 to 10. This line will deliver your fly to a 2- to 4-foot depth and is a great alternative to using weighted flies or shot. Perfect for subsurface fishing, shallow runs, shorelines, submerged weedbeds. Very popular when fishing shallow saltwater as well.

I use this line on a Cabelas L-Tech 5 wt. rod and it casts excellent. Love the line and I would buy it again. Great for shallow lakes/spring creeks.

Great fly line to use down to 5 feet in the water column. I have two, one for a 7 wt. which I used in Montana to catch trout. The other is a 8 wt that I use on the beach to fish for striped bass and blue fish(with a wire leader). The 5ft. tip gets the fly down quick and is an easy pickup, just roll cast and pull up for the back cast-most times a simple water haul.

I was looking for a sinking line to get down to the big Browns in the high mountain lakes from a float tube. Saw this online from Cabela's and tried it. It's different to cast but you'll quickly adjust. Coupled with a sinking leader the sink is controlled and no more tiny little weights to make nasty wind knots on the back cast.

Great line for nymphs and streamers

The Teeny Mini-Tip fly line casts easily and gets your wet flies down to the fish both in still water and medium to slow flow rivers and streams. It's a big help when the water warms in the spring and the fish seek the cooler bottoms of pools and is best on the 4 wt. with 7.5' leaders and a short tippet for precise casting & control. Longer leaders will work fine if you troll but it takes longer for the fly to sink.
