Rio® T Series Shooting Heads

Tungsten alternatives to lead core, these shooting heads are supple, do not kink and sink like a stone. Use the T-8 and T-11 lines with lighter rod weights. The T-14 head is best for single-hand 8- to 12-weight rods and as a tip for double-hand rods. Each 30-ft. coil has a welded loop in both ends, allowing you to customize it to your preferred length and weight. Made in USA.

Great for Stripers

I have used the T8 for several years on a 6-7 wt for light striper fishing in the CA Delta. I use all 30 ft for a rod that is actually a 6 1/2 wt. For a true 7 wt, use a T11 and shorten it a bit. Use 28 ft of T14 for an 8 wt. I'm glad Cabella's is finally carrying all 3 heads.
