Gamma's new molecularly altered Frog Hair Shooting Lines offer all of the casting qualities for fresh- and saltwater anglers. Superb flexibility and virtually no coil memory means these lines shoot farther and handle easier. The "slickness" coating also aids in helping you achieve greater casting distances. Lines resist kinking and lay soft. In the larger diameters, stripping is easier, more controlled and provides more secure hooksets. 44 yards.

    Affordable and great performance

    I do a great deal of fishing for salmon and steelhead. I was looking for a reliable/affordable shooting line.
    This line is a little more expensive than some of the other "memory free" lines on the website sells.
    This line performs well right out off the spool. it has a good feel and casts great.
    I usually get a full salmon and steelhead season and then replace.

    Used this for steelhead fishing this season and was great to work with. smooth and doesn't retain memory like others. I can cast out so much farther with less effort and with hardly any strecth, setting the hook is an ease. Only thing I didn't like was my white backing got stained red because I didn't dry the line out after use. Good stuff!

    I use this stuff in Alaska for Kings, Silvers and Reds and never worry about it. Last year I caught 8 kings 25# up to 40#'s on a fly rod in fast water with Frog hair and all I can say is "It's tough and strong". From my experience with the 80# magenta it has good abrasion resistance doesn't kink or coil up like some mono's and braided line -- you can cast all day long and it doesn't get coiled around your rod tip -- and if it stretches I've never noticed as opposed to Amnesia. The only thing you have to be careful of is, it is slippery, so however you tie your leader or swivel to it be sure and tie a tight overhand knot in the tag end to keep it from sliding thru.
    I gave it 4 stars vs 5 cause nothing is perfect !!
