The revolutionary Thingamabobber attaches to your leader in seconds, stays securely in place and will not effect your cast. It never sinks and requires no floatant to keep it riding high on the water. Assorted colors.
Sizes:
The Thingamabobber is my absolute favorite indicator. It floats better than any other I have tried, and I have tried all I could find. This is especially an advantage if you are using split shot on your leader. It doesn't cause problems in the wind. They only disadvantage is it kinks your line when you change its position and you have to straighten the leader.
My father-in-law and I were turned on to these during our recent fishing trip to Montana. Both our wading and float trip guides recommended these while we were fishing a nymph and a dropper. We caught everything from 6-inch rainbows on the Gallatin to several 21-inch browns on the upper Madison. I've never been a nymph fisher, but I bought a pack to fish with during the rest of our trip because they were so easy to use. They cast very easily and really help detect when a fish is striking. I bought the small, which tend to sink in rough water, so I'd recommend the mediums.
These are the best floats out there. I wish you could only order single colors though because I really like the white, but these are excellent floats nonetheless. These don't fly off when you cast like others do, and they're super easy to get on and off and slide up and down. Make sure to order a few sizes because small doesn't float a lot of weight.
I've used poly yarn, foam and now the Thing. This indicator is by far the best I have tried. It floats very well. The small size decects the lightest takes in still water, with a fury of small wakes. Easy to adjust and casts with very little resistance.
