Great For Midge Fishing

This is the best strike indicator I've ever used for midge fishing. When using 5x, 6x, and 7x tippet this indicator is great for both depth control and strike detection and is easy to thread. Also, its small footprint seems to be non-threatening to fish in heavily fished areas where they've seen a lot of the bobber and yarn type indicators and are easily spooked by them.

These are made to float and so they made them out of soft foam. The problem is they are impossible to get on the leader. The manufactuer should heat/burn a bigger hole in the stuff, otherwise it is a wasted purchase.

Great Strike Indicator

I love this strike indicator...definitely the best I have used thus far. The hole is very small and it makes it tough to put on your leader. With a little ingenuity you can make it work. I cut off a section about 3/4 of an inch long and I use a minnow needle to make the hole bigger. This makes the hole just big enough to get your leader through and it is small enough that you can reposition it on your leader without it moving once you have it where you want it. I would give it a 5 star rating if you didn't have to alter the hole yourself.

If these were free it wouls be to much money. It is impossible to thread them on your leader the hole is too small. S.A. indicators work much better and you can get them on the line.
