Impresive tiny lantern

I just received this lantern and I have to say I was disappointed on the size of this thing. Cabelas doesn\u2019t offer any information about the size of it. Well, it is very tiny 2 3/4" long X 3" height (including the top clear portion of the light) and 1.5" handle. When I saw it I thought this lantern is for back packing only because of the size and weight of it. I decided not to return it and try it. I cut the plastic and pulled it out. It takes 3 AAA batteries. I was impressed how bright this thing was. I tried it in my closet 5' x 6' which is pitch black and I could see everything in there. Ok, it is not as bright as a big lantern, but more like 2 night lights. It has two settings, up light and down light. The up light can be use to walk to the restrooms. I bought it to replace the big lantern I use in my tent because my husband keeps banging his head into it. I haven\u2019t try it yet in my tent 10x14, but I have the feeling it will provide enough like to be able to look for thing inside the tent. I will be using this lantern for my shower tent as well. I guess the saying "good thing comes in small packages" apply to this product.
