I ordered a replacement lamp set for my Alaskan Guide flashlight after the xenon bulb went out. The replacement came in and the new xenon bulb would not light up. I contacted customer service and they suggested changing the batteries. Worked great with new batteries so that was my problem. The xenon bulb requires significantly more voltage to operate properly while the LEDs run on lower voltages. Also the xenon bulb should not be operated longer than 10 minutes or the lamp life may be reduced due to the heat generated by the bulb. You will use a lot of batteries if you use the xenon bulb more than the LEDs.
LED part is fine, but the xenon wont last more than 4 uses at 30 seconds apiece. product needs to be re-designed without xenon, otherwise its exactly what i need with the multiple color options and durabilty.
Ordered two replacement light assemblies and the xenon bulb did not work on either assembly. These were to replace the light assemblies on two Alaskan Guide Flashlights where the xenon bulb had stopped working after several weeks of nightly dog walking. The flashlight is great when it works.
