Artificial bait proven to outfish and outlast live bait
Alive! attractant is 20% more effective than the original
Baits keep their natural shapes
Recharge baits by placing them back into the attractant
This is the scientific breakthrough anglers have been waiting on – an artificial bait proven to outfish and outlast live bait. Alive!® Leeches are saturated in the next generation of Gulp!® attractant, one that is 20% more effective than the original. These baits absorb up to 20% more fish attractant by weight and they keep their natural shapes with no kinks or bends for a lethal presentation. When you’re done fishing, you can "recharge" the baits by simply placing them back into the attractant and they’ll be ready for the next round of fishing. One-quart container. Approximate quanity of 80 in quart. Size: 3". Color: Black.
This is a great product, a quality substitute for the real thing... but not better than the real thing. Still a must have for the avid walleye fisherman for jigging or harnesses/bottom bouncing.
I use these and the sandworms in the san diego bay and kelp beds with great results. I like to fish them on a shakey head or small ball type jigheads. Also the sandworms make great panfish baits just pinch off a small peice and fish it like you would a mealy or redworm. The only drawback is they are a little pricey but I can catch a lot of fish with this little bucket!! p.s. I've caught a variety of bass saltwater, freshwater, halibut, and even bonefish. Yes I said BONEFISH IN SAN DIEGO BAY. HAPPY FISHIN N GOODLUCK!!
I went on a late fall fishing trip in Canada this past fall, found out at the US/Canada border we had to dump our live leeches out. All we had for bait was worms and Berkley Gulp Alive Leechs they worked better than worms half the time. I caught 4 walleye on one leeche before I had to throw it away because it was in pieces. The product worked awesome for me!
We took both 3" and 5" artificial leeches on a Canada fishing trip. We noticed no difference in catch rate for walleye or northern pike between use of real leeches and the 3" or 5" leeches. The 5" and real leeches seemed to have better action in the water then did the 3" leeches but again no discernible difference in catch rate. The Berkley Gulp leeches also seemed to last longer on the hook through multiple catches than did the real leeches.
