With flouro-carbon leaders taking over the market, I am of the humble opinion that this 3 pack of leaders is a GOOD value no matter what. Some full leaders are now costing well over ten dollars apiece, so if you want to pay that price then be my guest. This product gets 5 stars. Thanks Cabelas!!

fly fish lake powell

Not being sure what to expect on Lake Powell in late August, I brought my 5 wght and a variety of flies both top water and wets. Stripers and small mouths were entertaining. Top water boils in the mornings (stipers) and top water terrestrials in coves later in the day provided enough action from my Hobie Outback Kayak. A bead-eye clouser on the 10' Umpqua trout leader proved to be just the ticket for a 5 # large mouth lurking in the shade of a cliff at midday. Great sport on the fly rod and the leader worked as advertised. Good gear!
