Maxima 9' Tapered Knotless Leader

These leaders stay hidden from fish. By combining a Chameleon premium monofilament butt with a Supersoft Ultragreen tippet, these knotless tapered leaders offer a matte finish that absorbs light rays and makes the leader invisible to fish. The controlled stiffness Chameleon butt allows for superior casting, while the Supersoft Green tippet presents your fly naturally. Leaders are extremely abrasion-resistant with outstanding knot strength. Comes in 9-ft. length.

Why did I ever change?

I started out fly fishing using Maxima way back in the fiberglass rod days before Brad Pitt ever made a movie but moved away to try out the newer lines and tippets. They have to be better, they are expensive -right! So glad I came back to Maxima. Extremely strong and abrasion resistant. It also fixed a problem I seemed to be having of losing too many fish. The Maxima lets you set faster, not break fish off and transfers the energy to the rod. Love it. Landed 14 fish last Friday and only lost two. One of those straightened out my hook so no complaints. Oh yea- it costs less too.

This is a very good product. You get the best of both worlds from the Chameleon to Ultra green line. It is true to the Maxima tradition of being strong and abrasion resistant. I used it in the South Fork of the Snake River with great success.
