Climax leaders

I'm no casting expert so I need a leader that really works. Climax leaders are the best general purpose (dries, nymph rigs) I have found and I have tried many different brands. Others aren't bad, but Climax seems to be the best for me.

Not great. Had a lot of memory, though it could have been old. Went back to Rio once I was done with the 5x I bought.

I found the 5X leaders to have a poor breaking strength at the tippet. It has to be less than 2 lbs. as the first night I used them I lost several flies while casting and I am not a powerful caster. I also broke off a couple more on fish after tying on a new leader before I quit using them altogether.

Strong but...

I bought several of these leaders on sale. They're definitely strong but the butt section has way too much memory. It's next to impossible to get the curls out. Maybe I bought a bad batch, as the other reviewers seem to like them. I suggest buying only 1 at first if you want to try them. Better yet, just buy a different brand.
