Climax Fluorocarbon Freshwater Tippet Material

Climax Freshwater Fluorocarbon Tippet Material is made from a material having the same light refraction as water. It virtually disappears in the water, making it impossible for the fish to detect! The hard, smooth surface of fluorocarbon creates less friction and heat on the material as you tighten your knot, therefore knots are stronger. 30-meter spools.

flurocarbon tippet

I used this tippet on the end of spiderwire invisbraid,great combination, great knot strenght to braid.The sea run trout obviously didn't see it.

Good Product...with Proof!

Fished a mountian lake with this line last week in Montana. Not very skilled with a flyrod (yet)..but managed to land a 22' rainbow..after a 8 minute fight from my float tube.
All I can say..is the 3x preformed well for me. I'm sure the taxidermist is thankful for it too!

I use this tippet material for almost any fly fishing application. I find that it turns over great and has good knot strength. Great for line shy fish everywhere.

Alaskan Silver Salmon on Climax Fluorocarbon

I recently spent about 7 days back in August of 2006 fly fishing Alaska's great rivers for Grayling, Salmon, Dollys and Trout. The day we spent on the Anchor River was great with me hooking up on 4 Silvers with landing both a buck and a hen "hot" and "fresh" just 2 bends on the river from the Ocean. Prior to the day, actually the night before, I took out my spool of Climax Fluorocarbon Freshwater Tippet Material, size 1x and attached it to my 0x leader. I was amazed at the ability of such a large diameter tippet being able to tie a perfect knot like it was half the size. Well, the next day, we found a fairly fast section of the Anchor River and after my first hook up, the fish wrapped around a branch of a downed log in the stream and I thought for sure, I was going to break off, but instead, the fish got out of the tangle and although I still lost that first one, the tippet held and didn't break. I check the tippet for abrasion and again to my amazement, there was no abrasion. I was able to hook up and play 3 more hot and fresh Silvers in a pretty fast river with the same tippet without breaking off. I would definitely recommend this product to my fishing buddies.
