BlueSky Flyfishers Furled Leaders

Individually hand woven from over 90 ft. of top-quality monofilament, these leaders combine the best of both monofilament and braided leaders. They lay down delicately without spraying or splatting on the water. Leaders are approximately 5’9" long to which you add a tippet section. Leaders are designed to cast beautifully, even with extra-long tippets. These tough leaders are made to last with only tippet changes. Loop connections let you change leaders and tippet quickly.
Available:
  • Ultralight - line wts. 0-3, tippet sizes 4x-8x.
  • Light - line wts. 3-5, tippet sizes 3x-6x.
  • Medium - line wts. 6-8, tippet sizes 0x-4x.
  • Heavy - line wts. 7 and above, tippet sizes 0x-2x.

    I like furled leaders, but I've owned better.
    The eye at the "big" end is stiff and kinda mangled looking. I was concerned that it may not last, that it would break at the loop, So far, it has survived a couple of fishing trips, but no big fish caught, so it may be fine. Over all, a good product.

    Bought these on the advice from a friend and glad I did. Time saving, efficient and make casting better than ever. I purchased the heavy ones for striper fishing and have not been disappointed. I've only used these for 2 months but all indications are that this is a quality product.

    Furled Leaders

    My good friend and fishing companion gave me a furled leader last year when we were belly boating for bass. I'm now hooked. Casting flies to trout or poppers to largemouths has never been better. It turns the fly and tippet over and gives me better line control, whether I'm nymphing or shooting a size 22 baetis across the stream.
