American Fishing Wire Double-Barreled Leader Sleeves

Double-barreled sleeves are perfect for crimping over wire and monofilament to create your own leaders to use when fishing for toothy critters. The copper sleeves have a smooth, burr-free finish that won’t damage your line. These sleeves are perfect for making end loops in the leader material. Thin-walled sleeves are ideal for mono or fluorocarbon leaders as well as wire. Per 50.

They are just for the need were you want to have a large leader to be put in place, but for regular use look for a better option.

Big Game Fishing - Double Sleeves for Wire Leaders

If you are going to be using wire leaders for toothy big game fishing (Wahoo, Tuna or other) then you absolutely need to use these double barrel sleeves. These Copper sleeves are the best on the market to ensure crimping and hold under the high stress of fighing fish. If you really want to add extra strength you might want to consider using 2 sleeves on each end along with a twisted double hitch on the wire loop before crimping. Always remember to allow the wire tag end to show through the crimp and you should also try to crimp sleeves in two spaced spots (slightly in from each end) if possible to enable a stronger bite hold on the wire to prevent any slipage.

Used the sleeves on .080 weed eater line with 8oz bank sinkers to make slip through decoy cords. They held tight under a lot of abuse in adverse conditions. No slip and no rust.
