Great for Saltwater Trolling!

I used this leader material all last summer trolling for Kings in the Gulf and on live bait rigs in 20# and 40# weights. I was able to tie clinch knots and Palomar knots with no problem in both breaking strengths for single and double hook rigs. I was also able to tie snell knots on single hooks used as the front hook on double-hook trolling rigs, leaving a long "tail" to tie the rear hook on to the rig. All the knots held up well and the leaders held up extremely well, though the 20# will get abraided through after you've landed several toothy fish. I never lost a fish due to leader failure, but you do need to watch if you use the lighter breaking strengths on big fish.
