Sufix® Lead Core Line

Lead-core line has been around for decades, but it's recently had a resurgence with anglers. The reason? It presents lures in a fashion that can't be duplicated any other way - and it catches fish. The line has a high-density lead core. The lead core is then encapsulated in a durable, polyester fiber sheath for strength and abrasion-resistance. The line changes colors every 10 yards so you can meter how much line you have out. Sufix Lead-Core runs in a ten-color sequence.
Available: 12, 15, 18, 27, 36-lb. test in 100-yard spools.

I purchased 12 lb. test lead core line and it's complete garbage. The lead core kinks very easily and can't be straightened. The colors faded after six months and the outer sheath frays easily and consequently loses it's strength. I used a 6 lb. mono leader and on two occasions when I tried to undo a snag the lead core line broke instead of the leader. I lost a total of three colors.
