Not What I Expected

Ordered the full size UOC Green candle. While it works fine, the green paint is so thick that it makes collapsing the candle difficult - so much force needs to be used that I'm afraid I am going to bend it while opening or closing. Sending it back for the brass or aluminium version.

Full Size UCO Lantern

I agree with everything in the previous review but I wanted to add that the Full size UCO Lantern is sized just right to fit a tealight candle in a pinch.

The tealight will only give 4 hours of light compared to the 9-12 hours for the full size parafin candle, or the 12-15 hours for the UCO Beeswax candles. By the way the UCO beeswax candles smell great!

But if your like me and keep nearly a thousand tealight candles on hand for emergency use, its good to know they can and will fit in this lantern. Tealights will fit inside the glass globe with very little play.

Uco Candle Lanterns

These candle lanterns are made by Uco and sold under Cabela's name as done with many other retailers. The standard size Uco candle lanterns are absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend them, especially for tent campers. They work wonderfully and even warm the tent. However, do not buy the micro Uco lantern, they are a disaster. In a few minutes the entire tea candle dish melts into liquid and spills and runs over everything including out of the bottom. It just makes a big mess.

But the standard size lantern has a retaining collar that keeps the wax in place so there is no spilling or mess to clean up. The standard doesn't weigh much more than the micro so save yourself the headache and get the standard size. I love mine and you'll like it too. Remember, get the standard size; same price.
