When these conditions are not satisfactory, they can be found hiding within the shoreline vegetation. Fish damselfly imitations tight to the banks to imitate unlucky specimens that have blown off the reeds and into the water. Per 3.

These Damsels look much more realistic in real life. However, I did break the barb off one the first day while holding it with pliers. I used the others a few times and they still are in pretty good shape.

These are awesome. I've never seen a adult damsel that's so lifelike. Hard to believe - but although the catalog picture looks good it doesn't do justice. I'm watching for more of this general style in other insects.

KILLER FLY ON LAKES FOR TROUTS AS SOON AS THE WHEATHER GETS VERY HOT (THE COMMENT IS RIGHT THERE WAS ABSOLUTLY NO WIND THAT DAY). TRY IT ESPECIALLY NEAR REEDS ALONG THE SHORE LINE. MY ONLY SAMPLE GOT MANGLED BY 5 OR 6 TROUTS IN A ROW BEFORE I RETIRED IT.
