Introduction to Fly Tying
Join members of our Pierce and Thurston County fly tying clubs for a 45 minute introduction to fly tying. Fly tying is a fun and exciting hobby that puts you a nose ahead of the big one. Learn about the tools and techniques for a life time of fly tying experience.

Understanding Your Base Layer
Your base layer is critical for outdoor comfort and safety. From wicking body moisture, retaining heat and preventing muscle fatigue, join our Outfitters as they demonstrate base layer apparel.

Story Time at Cabela's
Volunteer readers from the South Sound Reading Foundation will spend 20 minutes reading outdoor stories in the hunt camp tent about camping, hiking, boating and other exciting wilderness experiences. Oriented to the child 4 to 9 years of age, the selected readings will expose participating children to wonderful animal and outdoor stories. FREE cookies will be provided for participating children by the Cascades Grill Restaurant. Your child may not be left unattended. A parent or grandparent must be present.

Adult CPR and First Aid Classes: Nov. 8, Dec. 12

Adult CPR and First Aid Class
Cabela's and The American Red Cross present a 7-hour class (1/2 hour meal break) that covers the following: CPR; rescue breathing; care for choking; use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest; control of bleeding; care for muscle, bone and joint injuries; sudden illness and burns. Participants successfully completing both written and skills exams receive certification and Adult CPR/AED and First Aid. This class meets OSHA and WISHA requirements. Wild Boar and Buffalo Samples Prepared with Sportsman's Gold Wild Game Marinades
Sportsman's Gold wild game marinades will be providing samples of wild game meats marinated in a selection of their delicious marinades on Saturday and Sunday, Nov 21 and 22. They will be sautéing pulled boar with their 'Boar No More' marinade, sampling buffalo flank steak in their 'Bourbon Essence' marinade, and sampling shrimp in their 'Ancho Tequila Lime' marinade. CARRY LEGALLY IN 29 STATES!! Complete the 'Utah Concealed Firearms Permit' Course being offered here in the store. For NON-RESIDENTS, the Utah permit is GOOD in 29 States! Included in this class are ALL the Application Requirements including fingerprints, Notary Public, Passport Photo, copy of current Drivers License & a pre-addressed envelope to the Bureau of Criminal Identification, State of Utah Public Safety. The Utah Concealed Firearms Permit Course registration fee is $70 pre-paid via Pay-Pal to: cfputah@gmail.com or $90 at the door. (Note: seating not guaranteed for late arrivals.) All applicants will receive training in accordance with 53-5-704 UCA. In addition to the course fee, a State of Utah processing fee of $65.25 is required to be submitted with your completed application.
