Almost every knife I own is a Buck knife. Their reputation for quality is well deserved. From my key ring to my big game knife I have always been pleased. The handle on this knife is comfortable and grips well even when wet or slimy. The blade is very manageable for its length. I not only use it for cleaning fish but also for de-boning game. My wife uses the Stream mate version of this knife in the kitchen and really likes it.
I burrowed this knife from my cousin after shooting an elk. I was able to cut up my whole elk from gutting, skinning, boning, and packaging and only had to sharpen it once. I have cut up over twenty big game animals and have been most satisfied using this knife. It cuts down the time it takes to cut up animals significantly. It's flexible but not flemsy like many other fillet knives I have used. It definately compares to knives I have bought for over a hundred dollars. Given the price and the fact that it is lifetime warrantied by buck.I would give this knife six stars.
