The Chef's Choice SteelPro is an excellent tool for maintaining a sharp edge on a knife that has been properly sharpen prior to use of the SteelPro. It's not a knife sharpener. It's a steel meant to maintain an edge so that the knife doesn't have to be resharpened constantly. It is very simple to use and should last a very long time. I would recommend it to others.

I used the Sherpener one time this season so far and it did an excellent job on some of my knives. The key to a good blade sharpening is having a good knife steel. I do love my sharpener.

Steeled edge my foot.

This is a fancier version of the old "crock sticks" that came out 15 years ago. It in no way gives the type of edge the manufacturer claims. I can get ten times the edge with my old Gadco Sharpener. However, I gave it to the wife and she manages to get some what of a cutting edge on her kitichen cutlery. The sharpener is way over rated, and way over priced for the results it delivers. Save your money on this one.
