OK FOR SOFT STEEL, BUT FOR THE HARDENED NO WAY
Date:
IT WORKS GREAT ON THE SOFTER STEEL BLADES,
BUT FOR THE HARDENED STEEL AND BIGGER KNIVES LIKE THE BOWIES, I FOUND OUT ITS BETTER TO DO THEM BY HAND SINCE THE MACHINE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO HANDEL PUTTING A WELL DRESSED EDGE. FOR THE HOME KNIVES YES BUT NOT FOR THE HARDENED STEEL

Very Disappointing
Date:
Tried this out on five knives with soft and hard steel blades and immediately shipped this sharpener back to Cabela's. It could not put a fine cutting edge on any of my knives and was simply not worth the money.

I'm one of those guys that tears a knife blade up trying to sharpen it...You know what i mean? You can't beat using this sharpener. You simply run your knife thru a couple swipes on each side and its done without making uneven marks on the blade... A monkey could use this thing!!
