Half of a good Idea
Date:
The Frame is sturdy and functions as designed but the blades are cheap, really cheap. You'll need to disassemble the the cutter and sharpen the blades before you heat the oil in the fryer. If not you'll break something before long.

Waste of money
Date:
Recieved this as a Christmas gift this Dec 2010 as it was something I had seen and asked for. Wishing I would have read the reviews before asking for it. First time using it the blades on mine were ruined. Definitely not the quality product I have come to expect from Cabela's so I was really dissappointed.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Date:
We have a catering company and thought it would be good to use for dicing onions and bell peppers but as we found out after doing a few it blew the blades out. We thought we might have gotten a bad unit so we returned it and got another one but it did the same thing. It might work great on JELLO but nothing with any texture.

Don't Waste Your Money
Date:
Bought this item before Christmas fully expecting to cut up a bunch of fries. Also got the 1/4-inch blades to make the thin, crispy slices. Only thing this machine does is crush potatoes. Blades are so dull they are useless. There is no way anyone under 200lbs can provide enough force to push a potato through this thing. Looks like it would be a great design, but every potato I put in this thing was smashed before it would slice.
