This is not NEW, I have had mine for years. I have 1 in the RV and in the house, give as gifts and everyone is just crazy about this press. Other competor has one and it is cheap, the handle is not wood. I looked but didn't buy. I am buying again for more gifts. You will not be sorry, cooks bacon in no time. This is money well spent and a good investment. Something you can hand down. It's cast iron, no need to say more. I have a skillet that was my Grnadmothers. These are the precious memories.
