Great Shoes but Runs Large

I've always loved Merrell's Jungle Mocs - have several pair for years. They're very comfortable and durable. As a small-footed woman, I've always worn a kid's size 2 Med in these shoes. But not this pair. Not at all. They are far too wide and long - these run surprisingly large. And it seems that the rubber sole is higher and denser than my other Merrell mocs. These seem like a different breed. I'll try out the size 1, but I have my doubts.
