This full-featured pack has plenty of room to accommodate all your school supplies, plus the ability to carry "essential" equipment like a CD/MP3 player or cell phone. First, there are two large zippered compartments with plenty of room for books, notebooks and homework. The zippered front pocket has an organizer panel and key fob to keep pens, keys and small items from getting lost. The pack is made from 420-denier velocity nylon fabric with a 600-denier polyester bottom for added durability and maximum abrasion resistance. The fleece-lined pocket with water-resistant YKK® zipper has a port for a headphone cord, which makes it perfect for carrying MP3 players or CD players. It's even soft enough to carry sunglasses without scratching them. Hypalon daisy chain on the front is ideal to clip on water bottles, etc. Padded, contoured shoulder straps and padded mesh back panel for carrying comfort. Adjustable sternum strap with whistle on buckle for safety. Padded haul handle. Dual mesh water bottle pockets. Dual side adjustable straps compress heavy loads. Durable YKK® zippers with easy-to-grab Hypalon pulls throughout. Imported.

Broke in six days, with light use

One of the shock cords that constrict the closure of an exterior pocket has already separated and is now worthless--after six days of light use. The stiff fabric loves to get in the way and get caught in the zippers of the two large pockets; you must take your time to zip them shut. At least the discount store backpacks didn't break for a few MONTHS. This one's going back to Cabela's.

Outstanding

This is the most amazing backpack. I don't own one myself, but my friend has owned once since he was in third grade. He is now a freshman in highschool, and yes, he has used this backpack all those years. There's not one sign of a rip or tear anywhere in the backpack, and he shoves an inch binder plus 3 notebooks and a sweatshirt and lunchbox all in and it holds up really well. I've tried it on and it's also comfortable. Highly recommended, i'm going to get one for myself next year

Best school Pack

We have 4 kids and have gone through many packs over the years. We have purchased 3 of these packs, over the last few years and all are still in use and in good shape (no seams splitting or zippers breaking). Most school packs we were replacing by Christmas. We would have 4 but our oldest prefers the sling style book bag.

If we replace one of their packs this year it is just because they want a new color.

Six years of Quality

Before I can give a review I'm going to tell you that I'm a 19 year old college student. I have had this bag since I was a Sophmore in high school, and continue to use it to this day.

Not only do I put more than 20 pounds of junk in this bag, I also put lots of bulky things inside it. It has never bothered me and is still in perfect condition since I bought it. I recomend this highly to anyone who is looking for a investment bag.
