this was shown in kayak accesories. should have been closed ended. witout a cover, water gets in and you have to drain the kayak. was at the store before buying on-line. they had same ones but i did not want open ended rod holders. these will be going back. great quality for the money, just not what i wanted

Well crafted rod holders; fit my Manta Ray 14' perfectly. I guess I didn't read the description well, as these are two to an order. I now have an extra pair for my other kayak.

The price can not be beat. These are great for any "do-it-yourself projects! Perfect for rigging yaks, although, it would have been nice to include end caps.

30 Degree Rod Holder

I've used four of the 30 degree rod holders for nine years in my Hewescraft Searunner. They have held up well while trolling for salmon and jigging deep for halibut, lingcod, etc. They handle both light trolling rods and sturdy stand-up rods with heavy reels just fine. I have never experienced a failure. I'd recommend these to anyone as they are a quality product at a great price.
