this is a great product, I do a lot of float tube fishing, and have lost a couple of fly rods into the water, always got them back as they we attached to a small rope ! The fly rod holder let you secure it & you can change Flies, & Tippets, even in a strong wind ! I highly urge all float tube fishermen & women to try it ! You will be glad you did !

I used the Scotty fly rod holder on 3 floats down the Deschutes River steelhead fishing this fall. It worked great. It was really nice not having to break down a big spey rod each time I moved down to a new spot.

Very easy to mount to your pontoon. Left or right side makes no difference. Make sure you have a phillips screwdriver tip or multi-tool. Easy to adjust in order to keep your oars from hitting your rod while it is in the holder. Rod goes in and out of holder easily.
