Ideal for casting and trolling, its bright, tough, hard-chrome finish matched with a tantalizing side-to-side wobble attracts aggressive strikes. Color-enhanced, prism-taped center section added to the side of the lure creates even more flashy attraction. Per each. Sizes: 1/2 oz., 3/4 oz., 1 oz., 2 oz., 3 oz. Colors: Gold Prism, Silver Prism.
When we lay an Acme Kastmaster, a Tsunami Mid Wave and a Deadly Dick side by side, all in the same 1 oz weight class, then the Tsunami Mid Wave fills the gap between. It's shorter and broader than a Deadly Dick and similar lures, but longer and slimmer than a Kastmaster and similar lures, and it is more curved than a Kastmaster. The surface finish is very good, the Mustad treble is okay. I always replace the trebles with a circle hook or with a single hook of the Siwash type, but the hook choice depends on your target species, of course. The Mid Wave comes with a - in my opinion - very oversized swivel at the front end. It has a thicker and a thinner end, the hook is originally rigged at the thinner end. Castability is excellent. The action of the lure on the retrieve is slalom and tail waggling, in slow retrieve more revolving. If you place the hook at the thicker end, the waggling action becomes more nervous. The Mid Wave has a very weak tendency to rise to the surface even at high speed, it stays well under the surface. This is a lure type which attracts different saltwater species who go after silvery flashing metal lures, like Atlantic Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and some Bonito type fish, maybe even Sea Trout and Sea Bass. Price is very good for the quality. I'll buy more of them.
