Popular with inshore anglers, the design of this jighead also makes it deadly on bass. The offset, wide-gap hook has a weighted shank that shifts the center of gravity rearward to create a realistic, flutter-down effect on the drop with worms, jerk baits or virtually any soft plastic. Per 5. Sizes:
These hooks work well on plastic baits like Senkos and Flukes, which are most effective on a horizontal fall. They speed up the drop just enough, while still maintaining the quiver that attracts fish. My only issue with the product is that it tends to tear up the plastic a bit when Texas rigging.
I've used these flutter jigs for a few years. They are fantastic when used with Zoom, Strike King, and Berkley Gulp jerk shad type baits. Bass hit these things hard. The action gives the bait a slow horizontal fall when paused which drive the fish crazy. I've found that the 4/0 and 5/0 sizes work the best for these type baits. The 1/0 and 2/0 work well with the short 4" or 5" soft plastic worm type baits.
I used them during this spring, and had a blast.I rigged them with a magnum tube and the bass could not resist the action that the flutterjighead produced. I told some of the guys in the bass club about them , and they have the same success that I have had.
